Hello and Thank you for stopping by. Up for sale/offers here is a 1976 Jeep DJ-5D dispatch Jeep. This jeep was made in June. 1976 and is factory RIGHT HAND DRIVE. Yes, the steering wheel and pedals are on the right hand side of the Jeep, not the left. I bought this a few weeks ago with the intentions of it being a project for me and my dad to work on over the winter. We no longer want to work on the Jeep as we don't think it will be big enough for what we need it for. Instead, we are going to let this go and look for something bigger. Jeep is in fairly good shape for its age, but it needs some work. It runs and drives, but it needs to be gone through. This has the inline 6 cylinder engine in it and a three speed transmission.Mileage reads 59600, but I don't know if that is 159,600 or just 59,600. Jeep was originally owned by the state of Indiana, then sold to another gentleman and then I got it from him. The good:Jeep is all here, it runs and drives, and appears to be in decent shape rust wise. Doors are both on it and all glass is good, and there's an extra grill in the back. Still has passenger's seat and the backseat installed. The bad: Jeep needs to be gone thru. Some of the lights work, some don't.The front turn signal lights were re mounted (as seen in the pictures). The engine and transmission need to be gone thru. Engine needs a tune up and carburetor adjustment and air cleaner. Transmission leaks from the front seal and somebody fixed the pan leak, but it could be better.Steering and brakes works, fuel gauge and oil pressure gauges are stuck. Drab green paint job is not all that good. Red shows thru in many spots and the drab green is faded. There are a fair amount of minor dings and scratches all over the Jeep, but it looks OKfor 40 years old.Thiscould be a good little Jeep if somebody want to put some time andeffort into it. I would, but it just won't meet my needs in the end and I don't have the timeor space for two projects. Jeep is located in Sun Prairie, WI. Can be driven onto a trailer. I would not recommend driving it home until you check it over. All shipping will be setup and paid for by the buyer and the Jeep will be paid for in full before it leaves here. Please ask any and all questionsBEFORE you bid or buy. I will be brutally honest as I am not trying torip anyone off. This is a project Jeep, not a route ready vehicle. Thanks again for looking!!! All offers will be considered, please no trades.
