Description of 1967 Jeep Wrangler CJ5 |
1967 Jeep CJ5 For sale and at auction is this really nice low mileage 1967 jeep CJ5. This Jeep was bought new by Mr. Bob Moon in 1967. Mr Moon was a petroleum land man and petroleum producer living in Jackson, Ms. He bought the Jeep from Bonner Willys Motors in Houston, Tx. Over the next 50+/- years Mr. Moon, now deceased, drove his Jeep 31882 miles (as of 10/30/16). The Jeep is now owned by Mr. Moon’s Niece and her husband. They do not have the need for the Jeep and have decided to sell it. I am helping them in the process. This Jeep has ALWAYS been garaged (many times-including now- to the detriment of much newer more expensive vehicles). Very seldom has it’s 4 wheel drive been placed in gear. This Jeep came with an optional ‘Dauntless’ V6 engine. Jeep bought the casting rights to Buick’s 225 cubic inch 3.7 V6 and manufactured them for a number of years. The Jeep has had a front mounted, transfer case powered winch (Koenig Iron Works, Houston, Tx). The winch appears capable of picking up 2 Jeeps. Mr Moon installed a roll bar and the Jeep comes with a complete (doors included) fabric cover. The Jeep has a manual choke. It cranks on the first try every time. The tires have very few miles and the spare has 0 miles. Although there is some surface rust in high use places (for example on the floor board where the driver’s feet reside) serious rust is nonexistent. These Jeep CJ5’s were built without much change from 1954 through 1983. This particular one is one of the best kept and lowest use of the 600000+ built during those years. This Jeep has it’s original paint, glass, upholstery, running gear and suspension and is completely unmolested. I am attaching a number of photos (up and down) and can provide more for interested parties. The Jeep cranks, runs and drives excellently. Someone looking for an unmolested Jeep would have to search far and wide to find a better example. The Jeep is located in Madison, MS, just North of the intersection of I55 and I20. I will be glad to answer any questions or provide more information to interested parties. Please call me at 601-906-1196 or email me at mikeamartin02349@gmail.com. |
