Description of 1972 Jeep Commando 4x4 preserved survivor, V8, AT, PS, PB, A/C 81K miles

If you've been looking for an original, solid, highly optioned Jeepster Commando or just a cool vintage SUV 4x4 with a removable top, look no further!
Only a small percentage of these came with a 304 V8. Most were the weaker V6. The 304 V8 has 150 HP and 245 ft lbs of torque, so this Jeepster has plenty of pep on and off road. The V8 was a $122.00 option back in 1972! This Commando has been in Dry storage since the early 90's, that is why is has been preserved and in such remarkable shape. The interior is the nicest original Commando interior I've ever seen. It is a very rare SC-2 model that is equipped with the "Custom Decor Group" of options. The options include chrome bumpers, a higher level of upholstery trim, window brightwork trim, full floor coverings, hubcaps, spare tire cover. The top has never been off. Also virtually rust free with all original sheet metal. Doors close tight, windows roll up and down nice too.
It has new plugs, wires, brake lines, brake booster, battery, exhaust, professionally rebuilt carb, new gas tank, good tires, and only 81K original miles. Everything works, the A/C blows cold and the AM/FM radio works too...kind of!. It has the upgraded interior option with full front and rear floor mats, and spare tire cover in perfect condition. The seats look like they are new with no rips, tears or fading. Front and rear factory seat belts. It also has the optional luggage rack.
The original Warn hubs work properly and the high and low range transfer case also works as it should. It runs and drives like a 1972 Jeep. Please search the net and compare and you'll see how special this Commando is. It has had one partial respray years ago, so the paint has that patina look. NO bondo.
A $500.00 non refundable deposit it required at the end of the auction and balance paid in person or by bank wire transfer within 3 days of the end of the auction. Jeep is sold as is with no warranty. I reserve the right to end the auction, as I have this for sale locally as well. Thanks
