Description of 1963 Jeep Other Base |
Looks like everything is in place, just rusty as heck. nobody started restoration and abandoned it, it was parked in a garage in 1989 and has been there ever since. People bought an old man's house after he died, this was in the garage, no title, bill of sale only. I literally had to tug it out of a garage and that's when we found all the extra parts behind it. I took an educated guess at the year of the vehicle, there is a vin plate on the passenger side by the seat. 61568 23974 7000 I had dreams of restoring it, because it IS a one ton truck, I thought it would be cool to use for estimates. I simply don't have the time to do it. Lots of extra parts, including an extra Hurricane 6 block and head that looks to have been milled, bored or honed and valve job, extra crank shaft that looks to have been redone. Multiple extra transmissions and transfer boxes, pieces parts of lots of stuff. Extra radiator, extra heater box assembly, all glass intact except for the 2 roll up windows(the roll up windows are there, but have cracks). Extra set of vintage wheels. Extra driveshafts, exhaust parts, intake and exhaust manifold, fly wheel, clutch, pressure plate. Many things I haven't mentioned but you can see in the pictures. As stated above, the Jeep has complete drivetrain intact in the vehicle, it just has tons of extra stuff too. I have not turned it over, for that would take removing the spark plugs and putting penetrating oil in the cylinders to soak and blah blah blah, don't have time. It does roll, the brakes are not locked up. I have not tried using the brakes because I didn't want them to drag and make everyone's job harder. Please look at the pictures. I hope you find what you're looking for. |
