Please message me for more photos of anything you'd like to see closer. Sadly the time has come for me to part ways with my project of nearly 8 years. My family and I are moving and there simply isn’t room for it anymore. I’ve gone through most of this jeep, fixing or replacing nearly everything cosmetic and structural. The restoration job is about 90% done. Since I’ve owned it, i’ve spent much more time working on it than driving it, only adding about 100 miles a year to it. I will do my best to describe all that I have done to the jeep as well as what is still left. I have a lot of time into it and more money than I’d like to try to calculate. Suspension - Everything is solid; brand new rough country 2.5” lift kit, including leaf springs and shocks all around as well as new shackles and bushings. I took it a step further by adding a 1” body lift in the way of all new polyurethane bushings. Structural - It appears that a new floor pan was installed at some point prior to my owning the Jeep. The little bit of rust I found was superficial but I used VHT rust incapsulater on the underside of the tub to ensure it stayed that way. Front fenders were replaced as well as the hood. New metal was welded in where the body bushings meet the tub to ensure everything to be level and solid. Cosmetically - This is the area where most of the work was done as can be seen by the pictures. New stainless bolts and fasteners throughout, this was a complete kit (over 550 pieces in total) All hardware (hinges, bracket, accessories) were either media blasted and painted black, or replaced altogether. Brand new: shift boots and knobs, dash hardware, glove box, visors, emblems, trim, wheel well flares, roll bar cover, front bucket seats and bench seat, hood and fenders, rubber seals/ stops and much more The tub was sanded down, some minor metal work was done to ensure no more than a skim coat of bondo was needed prior to repainting. Although the body work on the tub is not perfect it still looks nice, even fairly close up. The paint job is not professional but it still looks nice, there are some imperfections and a few areas that could be touched up if you are looking for more of a show car. Custom diamond plating around the base of the tub is made from aluminum and matches the half doors. Fenders were treated with seam sealer prior to install to prevent rust. The entire jeep was sprayed with US Army grade Gillespie paint products; red iron oxide primer and finished with WW2 replica semi-gloss paint. Inside the tub is rhino-lined. Mechanical - Clifford 6=8 intake manifold with a Holly 2bbl carburetor. HEI distributor conversion. Polyurethane gas tank with new fuel lines and new fuel pump. I was told by the previous owner that the engine and transmission were recently rebuilt. The motor runs strong. On startup there is a slight valve knock that goes away after a few minutes; I’m not a mechanic but I’m thinking it may need a valve job or could be a bent rod. I had the radiator flushed, water pump and starter replaced. Electrical - Wiring harness was replaced, new gauges, OEM style stereo and speakers with iPod/cellphone hookup. The speedometer / odometer was changed along with the gauges so it reads less than 100 miles. The previous one had 88k, so the mileage listed is only an estimate. What is still needs - Wiper motor and cover are included but need to be installed. Horn is functional but the button still needs to be installed (parts included). Some minor cosmetic touch up / finishing on the side step-up bars, the front bumper has a bend in the passenger side and I did not repaint it. Half doors have the newer (post) latch style, so the proper brackets (included) need to be installed. Volts gauge has stopped working, may just be a loose connection. KC lights are mounted with proper brackets but have not been wired up. The heater core was not hooked up when I got the jeep so I removed it (living in Las Vegas, there isn’t much need for it). I have several other spare parts and pieces aside from what I mentioned already that I will include for the winning buyer. Including the original intake manifold and 1bbl carburetor, original heater core, interior knobs and trim. The previous owner fabricated a front bumper swing down hitch (not currently pictured) which I will also include.
