Description of 1970 Jeep Wagoneer |
Absolutely stunning mint condition 1970 customized Jeep Wagoneer. This was the last year Kaiser owned Jeep before AMC purchased them. This car was totally gutted and customized to show quality standards. Sound deadening heat shield applied to entire interior. No Vinyl anywhere in this car. Entire upholstery is made with 100% Italian leather and perforated suede headliner. All seat foam was custom shaped and are very comfortable. All pleats are handstitched and individually made old-school style. The interior smells like a baseball glove. Vehicle features high-end audio with Bluetooth system, hands-free Bluetooth phone compatible and individual amps for front and rear speakers and a separate amplified sub woofer. Climate is controlled on the interior with Vintage Air AC and heat. Air is distributed through solid billet aluminum vents inserted into custom leather runner along underside of dash. This car also features a very rare and absolutely mint condition and working jeep clock mounted into glove box face. All gauges work 100%. Car can be driven anywhere. New three point seat belts were also installed. Hidden cup holders retract from front of bench seat and rear bench seat. Original ash tray in back of front bench seat was custom converted to a 12v power point and charging for two phones. This car has the original numbers matching drivetrain and engine in it. Jeep has four wheel drive. Jeep used Buick 350 engines with two barrel carburetor. Car runs flawlessly starts easily and can be driven dependably anywhere. Engine was totally rebuilt professionally and runs on unleaded gasoline. All engine components are new. New alternator was increased to handle the addition of A/C and amperage draw of stereo equipment. New Optima battery was also increased in amperage. Wheels were purchased brand-new and powder coated along with front and rear bumpers and grill to match. Custom made Jeep hub covers conceal locking front hubs for four-wheel-drive. These were made from the original hub caps that were on the car. I also added cruise control to the car and it has recently stopped working. Not sure why. I also have the original "Cheese Grater" style grille that was on the car. I did not like the look so I found the one that is installed don the Jeep and had it powered coated to match the wheels and bumpers. Everything under the hood has bee replaced. All bolts, hinges etc were removed, bead blasted polished or painted and installed. All new weather stripping INCLUDING window felts. New windshield as well. The glass is in excellent condition. All stainless was removed and polished. The white top on the Jeep was professionally applied with 3M Pearl white wrap. I did this in case I did not like the look. It can be peeled off if you want a all one color look. I have a entire roll with enough wrap left that you can re-do it if you like. I will include it with the purchase of the car. I will try to create a walk around video and provide a link. If you are a serious bidder I will be happy to coordinate a face time walk around live. Jeep is kept in my climate controlled garage building. Restoration was a frame on and completed two years ago and has been driven approx 783 miles. I has never been in the rain. It has a stellar paint job and has been clay bared and polished. I have over $25K in just paint and upholstery work in it. Pictures show all lighting working and also how rust free the original original interior floor pans were. I have a ton of documentation that will go with the car when sold. This Wagoneer turns heads everywhere I go. Car is kept in a heated and cooled garage. North Carolina car. I will invite inspections and any questions. I will also assist in coordinating delivery. This is a great tailgating car and would be perfect for the ski resorts! The original SUV's are getting hot in the market. Buy now before they get out of most peoples reach. These Wagoneers are far rarer and more desirable than the "Grand Wagoneers" made years later. If you are looking for a unique car that you will likely not find anywhere else, look no further. You can text me at 252-675-8115 with any questions. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the listing early. Thanks for looking! |
