Description of 1981 Jeep CJ CJ7 |
I AM LISTING THIS JEEP CJ7 FOR A FRIEND OF MINE. THIS JEEP IS A ONE TITLE HOLDER AUTOMOBILE. IT ONLY HAS 103991 ACTUAL MILES. VIRTUALLY A RUST FREE FRAME AND BODY. THIS CJ7 IS FACTORY YELLOW WITH FACTORY A/C (NO COMPRESSOR CURRENTLY), HARD TOP AND HARD DOORS. I am that anal buyer/seller that wants you to know everything that I know. I am going to give you the details from my perspective. Any additional pictures or questions call me at 601-754-1794. Body: The original AMC yellow. NO FIBERGLASS OR BONDO anywhere. The only rust (not rot) are in the front floor pans. Again, just a few pin holes. The frame and body mounts are perfect. It has a towbar, rear spare mount, towing pk, and as I have already said hardtop &hard doors. Powertrain:This Jeep still has the original I-6 engine with103k one-owner miles. The originalcarb. caught on fire( that is why the paint on the hood is bad.further) The engine then developed a slight miss. After new plugs & wires and a new carb.,it still misses. He did not go any further. It does not smoke and cranks at the blink of an eye. It also has a new clutch. It also came from the factory with A/C and powering steering. Interior: Still retains the original CJ7 bucket seats that need recovering and rear seat. All electrical seems to be fine. The tires are new and they are mounted on the original (hard to find) jeep 15 inch wheels. In summary, this is an above average jeep cosmetically. Mechanically, someone would need to do whatever it takes to get the miss out of the engine. Please feel free to make your best offer. Thanks for looking. Happy New Year!!! |
