Torquey and robust, this has always been the right motor to be paired with the off-road ready Jeeps. Tall gears and a low range in the transfer case give it rock-crawling stability, but thanks to the modern BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As tires, it can cruise easily at highway speeds, too.
