We were trying to fix this jeep so i could have a vehicle for school so we started prepping it for paint and fixing the engine and transmission. So we found a 95-96 dodge Dakota with a working transmission and engine and swapped it into the jeep and it ran smooth and transmission operated well until the fuse box in the engine compartment caught fire and shut the car off. Now you cant start it because of the fuse box. Everything in the drive-train still works but it would be recommended to change the fluid in the differentials and add fluid to the transfer case and transmission. We have the front bumper and all the headlights but a majority of the headlights are busted. The interior is still in good shape other than the worn seats and missing headliner the door panels need to be reinstalled to the doors and the fender installed on the drivers side. The starter for the engine replacement is on the drivers side so custom exhaust manifolds will be required. A new transfer case shifting linkage is needed because its held together with a wire at the moment. This would make a great project vehicle or daily driver with some work.
