Description of 1984 Jeep CJ |
also will sell plow separately, Fiberglass Tub (The original steel body was replaced) New Soft Top (3 years ago, and it's garage kept, out of the sun) Added aftermarket steps & roll-bar to windshield supports. I added a Flowmaster diesel muffler (P.O.'s 3" straight exhaust was very loud in an open vehicle!) I added a Tiny-Tac digital tachometer to the engine to monitor RPM (after I BROKE A PISTON on the engine that was in the Jeep in 2010). I believe a previous owner monkeyed with the governor which allowed me to exceed MAX RPM on a downhill. Included with sale are the factory service manual from Nissan for the engine, a detailed diagram of the rewired Painless wiring harness install, and a thick binder of receipts and instructions for items purchased. I added a block heater with a handy plug by the driver's door for cold weather, but it will start with the glow plugs (takes time). There's nothing like going out to the shop and getting her started with a pre-warmed engine when it's 20 degrees out and there's plowing to do. About the Plow... I only plowed my tiny driveway about 20 times with it.. this is not a rusty plow truck. Snow plow: Meyers e-47, works well, barely used it since p.o. rebuilt, I replaced front shocks and added GM 100A alternator to make plow use possible. Also added power steering. International Harvester Scout sd33t 3.3 litre i6 Nissan Diesel engine 36" tires Dick Cepek RimsRear Aussie locker automaticFront electric Detroit lockerDana 44 differentials New (3.92)Twin stick Dana 300 transfer case4 speed granny gear Dana t19 transmission Mileage unknown, doubt its over 100k, realizing the engine, trans, axles, tub has been replaced the title mileage is for the frame hood and grille Includes Detachable Haul-Master Tow Bar also will sell plow separately I just paid $1168 this week @ a local shop to replace the clutch & brake master cylinder. I also just put a new truck battery in. I drove this Jeep from Madison Wisconsin to Aberdeen Maryland without issue when I bought it in 2010. I've made several repairs and improvements to maintain the vehicle and improve drive-ability. You can drive it in 2 low which is excellent for slow wheeling and pulling. It'll roll down the road @ 65 mph @ 2500 rpm. I just dug my neighbor's brand new f250 out of the snow with it 2 weeks ago. I love this Jeep but have purchased a Miata for wife and have just too many vehicles. It's time to downsize. If you want a reliable, simple, fun diesel Jeep with a heavy duty transfer case and transmission factory paired to the engine by International.. then this rig is for you. cut paste this Video into your browser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-IhYCnq57I&sns=em VEHICLE IS FOR SALE LOCALLY.
