The short-wheelbase CJ5s are a blast to drive. Their maneuverability and light weight made them very desirable for off road use and also fun to sport around town in. Repainted in its factory original Renegade Blue (I mean really, why would anyone want to change this color?), and sporting V8 power, this is one good looking, fun Jeep! Dressing up this awesome shade of Blue is a fresh chrome grill and headlight trim as well as shiny diamond plating wrapping around the bottom of the body. Hood latches and side mirrors have also been replaced so that everything looks sharp and clean. A big double bar bumper has a hoop over a set of SRB auxiliary driving lights to protect them from big bumps and are doubly protected from stray sticks by chrome mesh. The back also has a heavy-duty bumper, so this CJ is protected from any trees that might jump out in front of it, or behind it. The bikini top is newer and in great shape offering some protection from sun or rain. Polished Mickey Thompson wheels add their splash of flash to the look and the whole Jeep looks great sitting up on those 32X11.50 tires. The interior of this truck is also the factory correct Levi Blue. There are fresh seat covers front and rear and they look great! A new lockable console between the seats with cup holders is big enough to handle piles of stuff. A beefy Grant steering wheel gives the driver something substantial to hang on to if you take it out to play, and there is an AutoMeter Sport Comp tach with shift light mounted on the steering column. The dash has an aftermarket switch cluster and under dash mounted temperature controls. The speedometer is stock with fuel and water temp gauges while AutoMeter gauges keep tabs on the oil pressure and volts. A B&M long handle shifter for the manual transmission rises from the floor next to the transfer case lever and the passenger might really appreciate the chrome grab handle on their side. Red, white and blue Jeep floor mats complete the look of this interior nicely. Under the hood you will find a healthy V8 motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It is 304 cubic inches and is topped by a chrome Edelbrock air filter housing which feeds an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and Performer AMC intake manifold. A Mallory ignition coil handles the spark sending it out through new cap, rotor, wires and plugs, and long tube headers get the spent gasses out and headed back to dual mufflers. Chrome valve covers add their splash of flash and braided stainless protects the rubber lines while an aluminum radiator keeps things running cool. The drivetrain underneath is tried and true and tough as nails Jeep all the way. A nice steering damper helps prevent kick back on rocks and roots and a healthy skid plate protects the rear end if you center up on a rock or in some ruts. A great looking Jeep in Renegade Blue with Blue Levi interior and lots of flashy chrome. A very capable Jeep with V8 power sitting up on a serious set of tires. Come on down and check it out. Then take it out. Anywhere.
