Description of 1984 Jeep Wagoneer Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman |
Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers, rolls out this memorable first model year for the Grand Wagoneer, 1984 Hunter Green. Until our purchase, this 98,500 original mile Grand Wagoneer has lived her entire life in road salt free small village of Horseshoe Bend Idaho. With just 700 residents, everyone there knew this charming Grand but there isn't a chance they would recognize her today after we have worked our magic. We started with our successful color conversion into one of the most sought after Grand Wagoneer colors, Hunter Green Metallic. See our restoration page on our website for complete details on the extensive works we preform to make a color conversion as beautiful as this one. Because Jeep only officially offered the Hunter Green color for Grand Wagoneers in the final model year, and then only produced 150 of them, we go to these extra efforts to provide the classic Grand enthusiast, a color that might not be found otherwise. This Hunter Green finish makes this Grand as handsome and special as any Wagoneer you might ever find. The wood siding and wood trim are new and just installed, sourced from Team Grand Wagoneer. The front of this 1984 has been updated to the Final Series look with the more favored and sought after larger new front grill frame and also a grill insert along with deep dish headlamps. New fog lights were also fitted. We also added the ever charming Jeep hood ornament which the factory didn't begin to place on Grand Wagoneer hoods til 1986. The wheels have just been professionally re-finished and the whitewall tires are new. The remaining exterior bits, including bumpers, center wheel caps and other attached chrome and aluminum pieces, whilst not new, reflect just normal aging and still present in lovely condition. A fresh windshield has likewise just been installed. The nutmeg interior has received a great deal of time and attention by our interior cabin team, and it shows. The seats center fabric inserts are all new and the outlining leather portions have been re-coated. The factory original carpeting on the seat backs and lower door panels are original, as we couldn't bring ourselves to replace that ever so unique 1984 deep shag carpet. All the floor carpeting is new, both in the cabin area along with the rear cargo bay. We also fitted new carpeting to the cargo area sides and inner tailgate. New custom Grand Wagoneer floor mats are also included to preserve the new flooring. The interior door panels, dashboard and steering wheel have all been freshly re-coated and above it all, there is a new headliner. You have to go back to the mid 80's and older to have a Grand Wagoneer with the darker shades of brown interiors, like this nutmeg. In '86 thru '88 the brown interiors became the lighter shade of tan and then in the '89 thru '91 final model years, they became even lighter with just the sand color option available. (Unless you went with cordovan / burgundy flavor of course....) So the good news is you have a great wearing interior that won't show the dirt like a lighter shade but also isn't the dark cordovan / burgundy choice that has fallen out of favor pretty heavily with today's upper tier Grand Wagoneer buyers. This inaugural model year 1984 example was also the next to the last year you would see the traditional round gauge dashboard layout for the Grand Wagoneer. If you are going for a strong nostalgic look, this interior has it downright and positively in spades. The interior working appointments include, air conditioning and heat, power windows, (tailgate operates via dash mounted switch only) power door locks, power seats and power side mirrors. The AM/FM/CD stereo is new, along with the speakers. Just the cruise control, developed by some AMC/Jeep engineer with little engineering abilities and related to someone in management, isn't working. The cruise control probably hasn't worked since the day Jeep shipped this from the factory in 1984. Carfax and Autocheck confirm lifetime registration and the low original miles in the western road salt free state of Idaho (before our purchase) along with no accidents ever reported. Thanks to those factors, we have a strong undercarriage and frame here. We also have an Actual Mile Title for our '84. Our mechanical & electrical sorting is likewise comprehensive with the very important addition of MODERN FUEL INJECTION added to this special '84. No more romancing the carburetor needed with this upgrade which we have professionally dialed in to increase everyday reliability. A new rear main seal has been installed, new braking components, shocks, transmission service and fresh fluids all around.....Just to name a few of the items we look after here. Shift on the fly 4 wheel drive is also standing by and ready. Please ring us directly if this 1984 Hunter Green enjoys your interest. We can provide you the vintage Wagoneer's document files along with the current Carfax & Autocheck. Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary work completed by professional mechanics, some with over forty years of Wagaoneer experience. Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens per year. That is a lot of practice and when a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is, but as you will see from our detailed service invoices, she has been looked after from nose to tail. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come. Be sure to have a look at our website'srecommendation pagewhere you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents. You are welcome to ring 724-996-1288 for a cordial discussion regarding this example or any other in our current or soon to be on offer extensive inventory. |
