Description of 1976 Jeep Cherokee |
HERE IS YOUR CHANCE AT A SWEET CLASSIC! 1976 AMC Jeep Cherokee Chief. SOME HISTORY:I bought this Jeep in the early 90s and drove it mostly to my cabin 300+ miles away and through the woods. A strong runner i decided to park it and restore it some more. That went by the wayside and it has been in my polebarn for about 18yrs. I drained the gas and installed a new 2100 carb. It starts, runs, and rides. Now i've decided to sell it. I have been to many jeep shows around the country and have NEVER saw one like it at a show. Hell i never see many of these ANYWHERE> I am not saying there are not ones like it around..i just never see them for this price in this condition. The Chief should be restored a little more to make it much more show worthy. 360 engine V8. 3 speed manual with 4WD and locking hubs. I have never pulled anything with the Jeep has a NEW 2100 2 bbl. carb has air but needs work? or recharge? (i have r-12 if needed) rear air shocksnot sure of the mileage on the stuck odometer ( i only drove to my cabin 3-4 times a year for 4 yrs) Leather Recaro seats. drivers side has couple tears. the backsides are a little scoffed (pics)original bench back seat . headliner needs a little work in a couple areas Blaupunk stereo tape radio..no tears in the dashboard there is a little surface body work needed in spots (pics)dark rear glass all around. rear hatch door has a working rear glass window. all windows/doors work with some extra care this will be a unique sweet looker of a classic Jeep that will get alot of attention as it looks similar to a Wagoneer but without the family side panels..A TRUE MANLY JEEP!!There is NO reserve on this vehicle. I was gonna list it for what i believe it is worth..a few grand more but i will let whoever have a good chance/price on it.I live just outside the Lansing, Mi. area if you would like to look at it (retired now so almost anytime). |
