Description of 1976 Jeep CJ |
Hi. /p> I am selling my 1976 CJ-7. I got excited and bought it as a project and then decide it is more than I wanted to do. Just don't have the time it deserves right now. The previous owner had done a bunch of work to it. All these items are newer items on the jeep. The previous owner did them but told me they were all put on over the couple of years. It has. CarbFuel pumpgas tankclutchU-JointsbrakesThe previous owner was working on fixing it up. My plan was to continue this to put it on the road this summer. The previous owner had stripped the wiring harness out of it with the intentions of putting a new one on it. I have a new wiring harness that goes with the Jeep but as you can see it is not put on. With the wiring harness not in the jeep it doesn't currently run. The previous owner told me it ran great. Also included is a new back gate for the hard top. These are common to rust out and the new one is fiberglass. Also included is all the moldings to replace all of the glass on the top. Also included with the jeep is an extra steering column plus other misc parts for it. The good is it is a V8 Jeep. The drive train looks to be in good condition. The engine bay looks pretty amazing considering the age. It has nice seats. To get it back on the road it needs the wiring harness installed and exhaust installed. It currently just has manifolds on it. My plan was to put fenderwell headers on it with glass packs that dump out the side. The bad is the body is not the best. It is not terrible and over all it is very solid but it has panels welded in and bondo applied. It sadly will never be a show jeep with the body it has. This wasn't my plan for it. It has some rust here and there. In has some holes in the floor. But even where it has rust the body is generally very solid. The hard top needs some fiberglass work on the passenger side rear corner. I tried listing everything I could. If you have any questions please let me know. This jeep is no cream puff but it isn't a pile either. Unfortuntially it is just more than I have time for right now. With just a little work this thing will be a blast come summer. Included is most everything needed to get her going. The only thing not included is the exhaust. The jeep is for sale as is where is. Thanks and Happy Bidding!! |
