Description of 1954 Willys

I am offering up for auction my 1954 Willys M38A1. I do have the original data plates for this jeep and a clear title in my name. This jeep has just undergone an amateur restoration with only 2 miles on it since restoration. It will need to be driven more to find out if there are any bugs that need to be worked out. As of now I am not aware of any. Jeep is sold as is with no warranty. I will do my best to describe this jeep as accurately as possible. but I do encourage questions and if at all possible. viewing in person. as I do not want the high bidder to have any doubt of what they are getting. Drive Train: Engine is not original to jeep but is correct for this jeep. Engine has been professionally rebuilt and sounds very good. I do have the receipts for the work that was done to it. Transmission has been rebuilt replacing worn gears and seals. Transfer case has new seals and all gears were inspected. No work has been done to the front or rear differentials. Other Mechanical: Frame was removed from the body and sandblasted prior to paint. All brake components have been replaced including new brake lines. wheel cylinders. master cylinder. hoses. and brake shoes. New fuel lines and a new tank were installed. New shocks were also installed as well as a new speedometer and cable. A new radiator and hoses were also installed. Body: Body was removed from frame and sandblasted. All rust was removed and new sheet metal was installed where needed. New sheet metal includes front floor pans with new hat channels. a complete rear bed floor. and rear tail panel of body. Body is mostly straight and has fresh paint but still has a few bumps and bruises as I am not a professional body man. The Jeep is supporting the correct wheels for a M38A1 having the small hole with a brand new set of 700 x 16 non-directional military tires (over $800). New seat foam and upholstery have been installed. Electrical: A complete new wiring harness was install as well as a new set of dash gauges. Jeep maintains a 24 Volt system and has a newly rebuilt starter and a new voltage regulator. Distributor is a new rebuilt unit with new spark plugs and wires. Also has new headlights. fender blackout light. new tail lights. and batteries. *What you see in the pictures is what you get. Jeep does not have windshield wiper motors installed but I do have a set that may be restorable. Jeep is also missing a grill light and the other one is not functioning (may just need a bulb). There is no spare tire. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction. Cash in person or bank wire transfer is required for remaining balance and neither title nor vehicle will be released until all funds have cleared.
