Description of 1967 Jeep Wagoneer Super |
1967 Jeep Super Wagoneer 4 Door Wagon RARE original complete condition 327/270hp "Vigilante" motor, factory Holley 4 barrel carburetor with 400 Turbo Hydra Automatic transmission. Very complete and unmolested. The "super" model 1414D was originally priced MSRP at $5943, nearly double that of the standard Wagoneer. This is one of only 3989 produced in a 3 year period. This is a TEXAS Jeep that sat under a tree in the desert since 1990. It has now been saved and safely in my garage. This is a two owner and now me. The Super had some awesome options which include: 7 position tilt steering column, floor console, in-dash air conditioning, bucket seats, decorative chrome trim, anodized aluminum exterior side panels, fender front fender ornaments, spinner hub caps, padded vinyl roof, chrome roof rack, power rear window, PS, PB, tinted windows, clock and more. This one is the very rare Prairie Gold color which is a light yellow. The interior is black and charcoal. The instrument panel in complete with all knobs and no busted pieces. The top of the dash has a large crack. The heater buttons are present and function as they should. The in-dash AC units is near perfect. The air diffusers are all there and position as they should. The tilt wheel flows like butter, The console is in good condition with minor chrome pitting and small flaws in the wood-grain area. All 4 of the transmission lights are there and properly work (4 wheel high, 2 wheel high, 4 wheel low and neutral.) The 4 wheel floor shifter moves easily between all positions. The transmission shifter operates smoothly as it should. The engine turns over easily with a battery. I have not tried to actually start it. (You can thank me later.) Under the hood it appears to be complete with the exception of distributor cap and wires are disconnected along with the starter. Also, the windshield washer fluid container is missing along with the lines. The crapets (carpets) have been removed. (You can thank me later.) The wiring appears that it should be redone properly - you''d want to anyway. The body is solid with areas of rust including but not limited to the rear pillars, rear quarter panels, some floor pinholes along with simple Texas surface rust. Did I mention that there is no roof? Supports are there and in great condition. There are some minor doinks and imperfections including broken taillight, backup light, missing driver door panel, both rear interior panels are gone, missing the clock, hubcaps, one fender ornament, front bumper and roof rack. This is not a difficult restoration. Or part it out. Take it to the level you want. ALL of the anodized chrome is there and in extraordinary condition. The floor console is amazing. This is a historically significant collector wagon. The motor alone is worth the starting bid. So is the anodized aluminum panels, so is the console! If you claim to be "the Jeep Guy", here is your chance to prove it. Step up and put this back together and make it the best Jeep Super Wagoneer on the planet. Minimal hunting for parts! Remember, that this model, this color and year make it one of the rarest complete. projects out there. I will assist to what ever degree I need with shipping. Eden TX is 2.5 hours NW of San Antonio and Austin right on US 83 & 87. This will need to be picked up by April 25th. More pictures available upon request - just ask. Thanks for looking, Brian.
