Description of 1965 Jeep Wagoneer |
VERY EARLY, VERY ORIGINAL, WAGONEERCALL ME, HAPPY TO CHAT ABOUT IT....210-548-1310 The Jeep Wagoneer is one of the longest running American truck designs ever! The iconic body style was basically unchanged from 1962 to 1991. This 1965 is one of the earliest examples I’ve ever found, and its survived unmolested for 56 years. A real Jeep collector will want this in the collection. Or....anyone wanting a classic “grocery getter†will love this! The body is in very nice shape. Its straight and very little rust. There is a small amount in the lower rockers. The original 230 Tornado engine starts quick and runs really really smooth and quite. These engines were some of the first overhead cam motors seen in the U.S. in the sixties. Many mechanics didn't know how to work of them at the time. But its a good motor. Its mated to the original automatic transmission that drops into gear smoothly and reverse nicely. Even the rear window glass still works by hand cranking it! Very kool! The truck needs a brake job, comes with most of the parts already bought. The original fuel tank needs to be cleaned. We’ve been running it on an auxiliary tank with fresh fuel. The four wheel drive is said to work, but I have not checked it with no brakes. The truck is in San Antonio. It comes with a clear title. Look forward to hearing from you....... Thanks for your interest and or winning bid. I hunt vintage cars and trucks across the great state of Texas, have since 2004. Most of what I find are rare and unique vintage vehicles, and generally over 40 years old. Most will have scratches, dings, dents and yes rust at some level. I do my best to accurately describe what I see. During the auction is the time to call or write with your questions or concerns, not after winning. My phone number in San Antonio is 210-548-1310. I’m friendly and easy to work with. I’m also happy to help get your vehicle loaded when your shipper arrives or help when there is a missing title situation. I offer all winning bidders two-weeks from auction end of FREE storage. Thereafter $15 per day unless previously arranged. A non-refundable deposit of $700.00 usd is due at auction end. The balance within a week via cash in person or wire transfer. Again thanks for your interest! |
