Presenting a rare 1965 Jeep CJ5a Tuxedo Park Mark IV finished in Empire Blue with Dover White marine vinyl seats pipped and stitched in Empire Blue.It has reportedly only had four owners throughout its 57 year journey. The odometer shows 6,652 miles, but the true mileage is unknown.The rare Tuxedo Park model, known as the Mark IV, was produced for four years from 1964 to 1968, making this Jeep one of 1,945 produced in 1965 and 7,419 total Tuxedo Park models ever produced.This Tuxedo Park includes the original rare bench seat option, sought after folding license plate bracket and chrome Tuxedo Park specific hardware, emblems and bumpers. the original powertrain, including the iconic F-134 Hurricane inline four cylinder engine paired to a floor shift converted Borg-Warner T90 manual 3 speed transmission with Warn Overdrive and a Dana 18 single stick dual range transfer case. It sits on a Rough Country 2.5 inch suspension lift with a steering stabilizer and 16 inch Dover White steel wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KO3 tires. Mechanical refurbishment was completed by the prior owner and the current owner completed an extensive cosmetic restoration. Mechanical refurbishmentincluded new fluids, seals, gaskets, belts, battery, fuel tank, exhaust, alternator, radiator, electronic ignition, suspension and a Tightsteer gear. The mechanical refurbishment was well documented by the prior owner on YouTube and Instagram, @65seejayfive.Cosmetic restoration included new metal floor pans, metal transmission hump, metal tailgate, paint, undercoating, frame coating, upholstery, carpet, steering wheel and Tuxedo Park model specific hardware, emblems and bumpers were rechromed.In addition, the current owner added new 12 volt windshield wipers, turn signal switch, oil pressure gauge and fog and reverse lights. The Jeep starts, runs, shifts, stops and drives well.It has a black Bestop Supertop soft top and doors in average condition. The complete top, doors and all associated hardware are included in the sale, but will not be installed.The known flaws or factory differences are small chips and wiper etching in the windshield, minor paint nicks, the heater box, core and controls were removed, dash throttle control was removed, replacement mirrors were installed and replacement taillights were installed and relocated for a better look with the reverse lights.The current owner has a clean and clear NJ title in their name.
