Vehicle Details Offered for sale is this 1985 Jeep CJ7 Laredo. The Laredo package was the “top of the line” CJ model, separating itself from the base model and Renegade packages by in including a 5-speed manual transmission, 20 gallon gas tank, leather-wrapped grab bar, and quartz movement clock set into the dash. Along with only 99,458 miles on the original AMC 258 straight 6 cylinder engine, what sets this Jeep apart from the others is it’s originality. With the exception of the radio, everything on the interior is the same as it was on the showroom floor 37 years ago, which includes the carpet, Laredo striped seats and console, with all gauges and dash clock functional and working. It runs and shifts smooth, with zero play in the steering that you often see in CJs. The only modifications under the hood that aren’t OEM are the replacement of the plastic valve cover with an aluminum valve cover, and replacing the old breather and carburetor with a Weber 34/36 carburetor kit to alleviate a persistent vacuum leak. It was repainted with the factory paint codes in 2014, is rust-free, never been off-road or spent a night outside, and quite frankly there’s just many out there comparable that I have seen. I just don’t get to enjoy it much anymore and I’m needing room in my shop!
