Rare 1981 Jeep CJ5 Laredo. Low production factory 304 V8. 4 speed manual transmission. Power steering and front disc brakes.

Body and paint are beautiful! All original sheet metal. 1 very high quality, 2 stage repaint in factory color (1H Chestnut Brown Metallic). With the factory Laredo stripe kit. The body is very straight, no accidents and absolutely no rust.

Lived in Southern CA most of its life. Floors are perfect. No rust, no scaling, no patches and no undercoating gunk.

It has 132k verifiable original miles, and just passed CA smog. I have the original owners manual, and over $6000 in recent service records.

Only 12k miles ago, in 2018. The following work has been professionally gone through and sorted out. The engine has been rebuilt. (New pistons, piston rings, rod bearings, main bearings, head set, lower set, timing, oil pump, flat tappet lifters, camshaft, cam bearings and expansion plugs.)

As well as. (New transmission, transmission mounts, water pump, thermostat, clutch, brakes, brake master cylinder, drive belts, carburetor, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, spark plug wires, engine mounts, oil pan gasket, rear differential serviced, fuel filter, coolant, recent oil change and oil pressure sender unit)

Always starts right up and settles into a smooth idle. Does not overheat. No smoke, no leaks and no funny noises. Plenty of power, stops on a dime, tight steering and drives straight. Cruises effortlessly at 65mph. Fun turn key classic Jeep. I wouldn't hesitate driving anywhere.

Clean California title with current registration.

Bikini top, canvas half & full doors included. Seats, dash, center console and inside tub are in great shape. The interior presents nicely.

New BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain tires. 32x11.50R15.

Speedometer, odometer, gas gauge, temperature gauge, rpm gauge, oil pressure and voltage gauge are in working order. New LED headlights.

4x4 with front locking hubs. 4High and 4Low both work properly.
