Description of 1974 Jeep CJ

1974 Jeep CJ6 with 4.2 liter six cylinder engine. Equipped with a T-14 transmission and Dana 20 transfer case. Dana 44 rear axles with stock Jeep traction lock LSD. Dana 30 front axle (open carrier) with drums on all four corners and all recent brakes done with new parts and shoes. New KM3 BFG tires 31-10:50-15 radial tires, mounted on Jeep Renegade rims X five. Newer Warn locking hubs. New intermediate steering shaft. Brand new leaf springs (2 inch) with U bolts, body mounts and bolts, shocks. Engine service includes new plugs, engine oil, (Rotella diesel) filter, plug wires, fuel pump, heater and radiator hoses, radiator flush and fill. Transmission and transfer case boots. New PS and fan belts. Three brand new heater control cables and heater window vent and operating two speed fan. Wipers and lights work. Two Smitty built medium high seats. Brand new steering wheel. New speedo cable (while I had dash apart I replaced the old dry and cracking cable) and two new rear emergency brake cables. New dif oil and pinion seals, new tranny and T case oil. (Napa mineral gear oil) One year old Bestop soft top. There is probably some more new parts I have missed. I bought this three years ago to have as a driver and maybe restoration at a later date, so I picked away a little at a time. It's a great running 4.2 258 inline 6. The best I've ever owned. Jeep came out of Colorado when I bought it and had minimal rust. Floors are rock solid. PO did install new fuel tank, but cut through rear floor pan. (Have no idea why) I have and will include a new Classic Enterprise rear pan. The jeep drives and runs great, with no death whobble at all. 373 gear ratio. The sheet metal is in very nice condition with the exception of a few small sections of hat channels about 6 to 8 inches each. Jeep was originally copper metallic. Dash is not butchered at all and very nice. No rust on windshield frame and bottom is in great shape with sticker still in place. All in all a nice solid 74 intermediate CJ6 and getting harder to find in good condition as this one. Jeep is located in Ware, Massachusetts and I'm available to show. Not currently registered as I only register one for the road each year. I presently have two other CJ6's and 11 jeeps total.
