Description of 1971 Jeep Wagoneer |
This 1971 Jeep Wagoneer is a classic vehicle that has been well-maintained and still runs great. The owner has had it for a year and uses it as a daily driver. Vehicle Details This Jeep Wagoneer was sold new from Neuman-Strong Motors in Springfield, Oregon, on August 16, 1971, and later spent time in Washington, South Carolina, and Virginia before being purchased by the seller in 2024 and relocated to Newport Beach, California. The truck was used in the 2013 Eddie Bauer catalog and is powered by a 360ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It is finished in Vintage Gold over green cloth and vinyl, and features include 15″ steel wheels and a roof rack. Work in 2024 included a brake system overhaul and a replacement alternator. This SJ Wagoneer is now offered with original sales paperwork, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title. The truck features a chrome grille, a power tailgate window, a roof rack, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers. Corrosion, faded paint, and other imperfections are visible on various panels. The 15″ steel wheels wear Jeep-branded hubcaps and are mounted with 235/75 Goodyear Wrangler tires. The truck is equipped with Warn locking front hubs and four-wheel drum brakes, the latter of which received a fluid flush and a replacement master cylinder, front and rear drums and shoes, and a rear hose in 2024. A reconditioned brake proportioning valve was also installed at that time. The front and rear benches are upholstered in green cloth and vinyl, and interior appointments include a cabin heater. The horn and the radio do not work. Instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer indicates 81k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership. The truck is powered by a 360ci V8. Work in 2024 included replacing the fuel lines and clamps at the carburetor as well as replacing the alternator. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The sales agreement from Neuman-Strong Motors shows a total cash delivered price of $5,251. They are only original once! |
