Description of 1981 Jeep J10 Western Weave Cloth Interior / Custom level trim

Nicely equipped early 1981 model production (9/80) smooth-roof J10. Intermittent wipers, courtesy lamps, digital clock, period-correct aftermarket stereo. Spectacular, unique and original 'Western Weave' cloth interior, presents really well, with only the carpet being replaced and headliner refinished in correct cloth.Exceptionally smooth running 360 V8, with original high altitude carburetor that has been rebuilt. Fresh water pump, thermostat, fuel pump, starter and NOS radiator with new hoses at all locations. Holds great oil pressure with no leaks. Original T-176 4-speed transmission has been rebuilt with new bearings, fresh clutch and pressure plate. Original 3.31 ratio Model 20 rear axle has been completely rebuilt with new bearings, ring and pinion. Dana 44 front axle has been serviced with fresh gear oil and cover gasket, no other work needed. Hubs lock/unlock as they should. Brakes have been flushed and serviced with new rubber lines at all locations and work perfectly. New KYB GR2 shock absorbers at all corners. New fuel and air filters. New OE muffler and mid-pipe. Catalyst in place and does work. Gas tank serviced with new fuel pickup sock, and fill/vent hoses. Original steering column has been rebuilt with fresh bearings and new key cylinder. Instrument panel is original but has been cleaned and serviced with new temperature gauge, indicator needles painted in correct orange and all bulbs replaced (no LEDS, correct incandescent bulbs) Headlamps have had a relay kit added to bring them back to full-brightness, with fresh OE style halogen bulbs. New sidemarkers at all 4 corners. New heater blower motor, and new vacuum lines to controller and hot water valve. Defroster ducts have been replaced. Roof and tailgate have been repainted in original single stage "Cameo Tan" enamel. When roof was done, windshield was removed, glass channel was sealed, minor rust repaired and painted prior to new gasket and glass being re-installed. The rest of the cab is solid and rust-free. Solid floors, perfect rocker panels, all cab-to-frame attachment points are solid and rust-free. No squeaks or rattles. Seatbelts have been replaced with all-new color-keyed belts from SeatBeltPlanet. Original seatbelts will come with truck. Included with sale are the following:OEM steel wheels with 1-season old Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 winter tires. OEM alloy wheels with Firestone Destination RWL tires, less than 3000 miles on them.(includes spare on steel wheel)OEM hubcapsFactory Technical Service Manual (TSM)Touch-up paint (both colors)Hundreds of digital photographs of all the work being done - everything is documented. In a nutshell - 90% of the hard work that is needed to be done to bring an old FSJ back from the dead has been done. All within the last 3 years, and all of it documented by photographs and paperwork. All that's needed now are the things that will make it yours. Specific items that this Jeep does need to be perfect:NP208 transfer case will need to be serviced. (case leaks, chain is loose and jumps/disengages)Front and rear springs are original to the truck and are sagging. Since just about everyone in the FSJ community has their own idea or what perfect ride height on these looks and rides like - here's a great opportunity to do that exactly as you want!Dashboard cover is in-place but is dry-rotted/crackedBedsides do have rust through on the outside - inner walls/floor are solid with no perforation - and BJsOffRoad sells bedsides that are ideal for this kind of repair.A fresh paint job on the rest of the truck would be nice. While this is a running/driving truck with current tags, I do recommend that this truck be towed due to the transfer case not being perfect. Happy to answer any questions!
