No depreciation or frequent repairs on this car. In fact. if you continue to keep it up. it can be the least expensive cost per mile of any car you've ever owned. Diesels used to be slow. hard to start. difficult to climb hills. with poor heaters and AC. It changed with the 87 300D. the fastest MB diesel until 1998 E300D (which has computer and smog control. ) It has the same big six diesel as the big 300SD but lighter and fastest. This one is a W124 chassis. Euro 300D non-turbo diesel. It was originally brought home to Santa Cruz with a vacation package to Germany. This car is one of two diesel daily drivers I have. reliable. comfortable. classy and distinctive (not a show car. ) As each diesel is likely to out last my life time. I am willing to let one go. It gets 30+ mpg consistently. It runs great. does not run hot or leak. The engine has never been touched. nor would it need service any time soon. It's ready to make a safe & comfortable cross country trip any time. Car had been lowered 2" with the popular AMG kit and fender flares. It slips under the wind with low drag. Power windows and locks. Electric mirror. Electric Sunroof. It has emergency equipment with lights and siren. On I-5. if I am not careful I would be drifting over 90 mph as I am used to my 190D. Mercedes shop had done all the service. rebuilt the under carriage. brakes. struts. bushings. front and rear end components. differential and motor mounts. etc. The interior comfort accessories are all working as they should. with a new AC compressor. blower and regulator. climate control unit. and inside the dash vacuum elements for the flappers and vents. Nice burl wood. CD-radio. feel of leather and sheep skins remind you every day: "Life is Good!" . no need to stress about your car. This is not a wholesale car. You would not have to spend money to get the "bugs" out. It's ready to go. Historical receipts since day one are available in a folder. And if you wonder why I am selling this one. you can have my other one. a 87 300D Turbo. It has a clear coat paint job. I'd need 13k for that. 1987 300D in Hemmings classic cars price guide is 14k average. . for what it's worth. Reasonable asking price is below my investment. some written off for miles used.
