Description of 1985 Jeep CJ

1985 Jeep CJ7 for sale. **Starting at $10. 00. 00 with no reserve** This one is very clean. This is not a fiberglass replica. This is the original CJ7 body. The previous owner had all the body work done professionally. as well as paint. The frame was also sanded. treated and sealed. Original 258 cu in (4. 2 L) I6 engine. with Tremec T-176 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. and Dana 300 transfer case; and only ~66k miles. Has new welded body mounts | New brake and fuel lines | New exhaust header with Motor Craft 2100 carb upgrade | New Painless wiring harness | New front and rear bumpers | New front seat brackets and belts (front seats original). It also has a Black Diamond 3-inch suspension lift and 1-inch body lift | 33x10. 5 R15 All Terrain T/A BF Goodrich tires on MB Chaos Wheels | and front Warn Locking Hubs. The interior includes a center armrest that is a Tuffy Lockbox. which secures a stereo/CD player head unit; and the head unit connects to an enclosed pair of speakers under the dash. The only problem I can think of is that the wiper arms recently stopped working. When you flip the switch. you can still hear the wiper motor. but there's no movement. Looking around on the jeep blogs. I'm pretty sure it's the metal around the wiper joints that has bound and jammed the arms from moving. but I just haven't had the time to get into it. I bought it from the previous owner. about 2 years ago. and am selling now to help pay for our wedding this year. The only thing I really did was have the steering gearbox replaced(so that's also new). and add the Tuffy Lockbox and speakers. I never did get to take it off-roading like I wanted to. and only ever used it for a few short weekend drives. and sometimes to commute to work when the weather was nice. so it's practically the same as when I bought it. I don't think it can be considered a hardcore crawler. but it can easily become one. with a few more modifications. Either way I think it's definitely a good looking. original classic. ready to take its top off for the coming spring and summer. No trades | Clear title in hand | Located near Everett. WA. I am happy to assist with pickup or shipment/delivery. although this will be the buyers expense. Many more pictures available on request. Sold as is. no warranty.
