Description of 1981 Jeep CJ

1981 Jeep CJ5 4X4 Fully Restored and Documented. All receipts and documents come with the sale Brand new engine and transmission T19 4-speed The V8 is an AMC 304 with TBI GM fuel injection system. This restoration was a frame off complete build with the best parts and build quality. The prior owner wanted a vehicle that he could cruise on the highway or rock crawl with if he wanted. Everything has been replaced. upgraded or serviced. The suspension is stock height with all new parts. This CJ5 has only 3000 miles since it was completed. The top is a new Best Top with zip out windows and doors. The seats are the original seats. Options are power steering and cruise control. The owner also converted AC compressor as a remote air compressor. rated for 125 psi. When the new transmission was installed. they put in a performance clutch as well. It is set up for first gear as a “granny” gear so you typically start in second in normal driving. All lights and gauges work properly. No Rust in body or chassis. New 24 gallon fuel tank. pump and lines installed. The paint was done to a very high quality and looks amazing. The inside was Line-X’ed for durability. It was originally and metallic brown. but was painted the deep metallic green. Every thing was painted except under the hood. The heating system has been rebuilt and re-sealed for good inside heat on the cold days. It’s great weekend Jeep that looks amazing. very collectable and hard to find like this.
