Description of 1988 Jeep Wagoneer New Engine 1200 miles

1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with New Engine InstalledReluctantly selling my 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer - Woody Wagon due to a move we are doing.I have just installed a new Jasper Engine with 100000 mile warranty ( cost $5200 for engine and install) and this truck was completely gone through.New Tires all aroundNew starterNew hosesNew Water PumpNew Oil PumpNew BatteryNew brakes front and back.Muffler 8 months oldThis truck is not like a lot of the other ones on eBay that look good but are on their last legs. This Woody is mechanically super and I have spent a ton of money on it. I am selling at a great price and just asking for some of the $$ I have in it. ( I have spent over $9000 on this truck in the past 6 months getting it mechanically great )If it were me I would keep it as is but it would also be a good candidate for a full restore. The paint clear coat is peeling and there are little cosmetic issues here and there but as you can see from the pics for a 30 yr old Truck its really great. I absolutely love this truck and would not sell if it were not for the fact I am moving. If you want a reliable daily driver and a truck you could hop in and drive across the country this is it. This truck purrs and runs incredible with a new engine. It turns heads and is a real conversation piece...people just love it!!New Jasper Engine has only 1200 miles on it and comes with 100000 warranty. I will include a bunch of stuff that came with the install package when the engine was just replaced. We did not put the new belts etc in as I had just replaced them a little while ago....so I am including some new items that you can just have for the future. I have original owners books 2 sets keys and all sorts of paperwork.Original interior has not been messed with other than headliner which was changed to check pattern. Stock radio and clock..everything works great. Is there anything wrong with this car? Not much....a few tiny things you may want to do. Chip in front windshield is now a small crack and will need fixing. Rear window glass goes up and down but sometimes it argues a bit. I think the rear switch needs a looking over. All electric windows /seats etc work perfectly. Two tiny rust spots that never bothered me but could be fixed cheaply....you'll have to look for them as theyaren't very noticeable. New paint job would be great but I like the way it looks now even though the clear coat is flaking off. There are also dings and chips typical of a vehicle this age.....This truck is a driver and not a show piece. It loves to be driven and has always been reliable. My kids and I use it all over the place - going surfing - going shopping at Costco because it holds a ton of stuff - School pick ups anddrop offs - When I bought the Woody the engine was getting tired so I decided to do it right and get a Jasper engine installed. They are the very best at the new rebuilt engines for these vehicles. Allelectrical works great in the truck except for the annoying rear window glitch which is a new thing that I don't have time to deal with but most likely a switch issue as it only happens here and there. I hate to sell the truck but I have too many vehicles and I amgoing to let this one go to a new home. Good Luck - It's a great Jeep.
