Description of 1987 Lamborghini Other |
1987 Lamborghini Jalpa Mileage: 43,xxx VIN: ZA9JB00A5HLA12345 This car is very well documented on the internet, nd can be found by googling "Jalpa HLA1234" . Most everything I have done to this car has been documented on this website/blog. This is a US spec Jalpa, ith a partial conversion to European specifications. Clear title, o liens, lean carfax, itled and registered in California. Located in San Francisco, A, SA. I have a very and well organized receipt file documenting the significant time and effort that's gone into this car. It runs and drives amazing, tarts right up and runs/sounds like a beast. If you are looking seriously at this car, ou know the US spec cars came with large steel air boxes that encase the carbs and make it nearly impossible to easily adjust the carbs. I have removed these air boxes and fabricated plates under the carbs to convert the linkage to European specifications, ncluding using the fiberglass European air boxes. The benefits are significant, ncluding visually being able to see the engine, asy access to the beautiful 42 DCNF's and better sound of the carbs inhaling air. I have all the original parts to convert it back to the horrible US setup if anyone wanted to..... I purchased this car in early 2012 and the following has been done under my ownership: Carb conversion to euro specification, ncluding OEM euro air boxes Rebuilt all 4-42 DCNF carbs Engine out, ew Sachs clutch, ressure plate, hrow out bearing, uide bearing and clutch fork, am chain tension adjusted, ear main seal replaced. Powder coated engine cradle New silent block engine mounts All oil and radiator hoses and couplers replaced with HPS silicon hoses MSD ignition Distributor serviced Rebuilt alternator All rear suspension components refinished Plug wires, istributor cap and rotor, nd plugs Eurospares "Bravo" wheels with original OZ "corvette" wheels with P7's in new condition Shift shaft seal, hifter aligned, hifter shaft boot Repack and seal CV joints Reseal differential inner and outer seals New custom aluminum radiator with dual spal fans Black powder coated stainless exhaust system, ith gutted cans (sounds UNREAL) Another full exhaust system with CA cats (passes CA smog) New parking brake cable and pads Waterpump seal and o-ring Speedo and Tach rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer (no needle banana syndrome), ccepts MSD tach signal Rebuilt clutch slave New engine mounts Sampling bung on headers for wideband meter Repaired and refinished expansion tank Alternator and water pump belt Sony MEX BT4000P. Bluetooth, emote control, andora, SB Ipod controller, hone capable Prior to my ownership the owner did: Powder coated headers The car has aftermarket side skirts, ome Jalpa's came with them, ooks like they have been on for a long time. All new leather interior and carpet (looks and smells amazing) Regular swepco oil changes and Sta-lube gear box changes. The exterior paint and body condition are a 7 out of 10. The car looks stunning and gets comments all the time on the condition, ut it's not perfect. I had a paint expert tell me it's been re-sprayed at some point, nd the job was "ok" , here are a few dings and dents, ut overall it presents very sharp and tidy. The door straps failed (common, nd there is a dimple on each side of the door leading edge. The wing also has the usual bubbles. I do not have the jack and tool roll, t has the spare but is missing the hold-down strap. Here are some videos of the car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fatVYZG_JY0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klOHtm0tc6Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx4YZymlf3Q The car has been to Concorso twice, nd placed 3 in the V8 category (out of 3 cars, a!) Its appeared in a few magazines, ncluding Serrata Lamborghini Club Magazine, nd Sports Car Classic. I am selling this car as I just bought a Diablo, nd just don't need the car anymore. I might buy another one and bring it back to life in the future, hat is what I enjoy doing. I will help with shipping, ut cost is born by the buyer. $2,000 deposit upon winning bid, on-refundable, f you want to look at the car or have it inspected please do so before bidding. Lastly, entlemen, hile I have done a large amount of work to get this car in great driving shape, ou are bidding on a vintage Lamborghini which requires a fairly large set of balls to own. If you aren't transporting yours around in a wheelbarrow, aybe this isn't the car for you. Then again, ou only live once...... Good luck |
