Description of 1975 Lancia Other Coupe |
ADDITIONAL PHOTOS OF NEW DASH, UDIO SYSTEM, XTERIOR WITH FRONT GRILL REINSTALLED, ND FINISHED ENGINE COMING SOON! Gorgeously refinished in original chocolate brown over butterscotch leather. The paint is like a mirror. Chrome trim excellent. 1.8 liter Weber carb engine starts easily and pulls powerfully, speed transmission with new clutch shifts perfectly, our wheel disc brakes, our bucket seats restored in Italian leather, hree-point seat belts (rear belts not installed), ilt steering wheel, ourtesy lighting, ew air conditioning system, ew dashboard, uch more (see below). The car was a daily driver for us through most of 2014. In 2015 I started down the slippery slope of full restoration, hich has just been completed. I've sorted out all the issues over a series of progressively longer drives through September and October. I would not hesitate to drive this anywhere, nd if I don't sell it I will be driving it cross-country October 24 to November 8. I will then store it in our garage in North Carolina for occasional use. Total spent by current owner since purchase in January 2014 = $20,082. Previous owner spent $12,500 since 2002 getting her running again. All receipts and full maintenance log since 2002 available. Car lived in the Nevada desert until the prior owner rescued it and got it going again. The previous owner is a racing mechanic in Sacramento and he did a great job with suspension, ngine head, ransmission work. However he wasn't so particular about cosmetics. He installed used front seats from another later Beta, new headliner and windshield, nd had it painted in the original chocolate brown. When I got the car, he new paint job was already failing. I had it stripped down to bare metal and painted with high quality PPG materials ($6800). Jose Velasquez did a great job - a few small blemishes but it is beautiful and will be durable. He repaired a few tiny rust spots around the front and rear windows, ut the rest of the car is rust-free (having lived it's life in Nevada and California) and we found no evidence of previous body work. I have a huge collection of photos from the work. The previous owner had saved the original seats, hich I had recovered in gorgeous original butterscotch Italian leather. Over the past year I had the engine removed, esealed and refitted ($6000), nabling us to repaint the engine bay as well). This was done by Sports Cars Garage of Palm Desert. They are the top European sports car experts in the Coachella Valley, egularly working on Ferraris and other exotics. The A/C system is brand new and blows cold. Highly efficient Sanden rotary compressor, arger condenser and new condenser fan, ew receiver drier and all new hoses. HVAC system fully disassembled, leaned, eater core tested good, ew heater valve fitted, ables lubricated and everything works like new. Pre-wired for Carello fog or driving lamps with lighted factory switch on the dash. I think they were originally fitted to the top of the front bumper, ut the lamps are not present now. Other new parts: Pioneer Bluetooth CD/Smartphone receiver (now installed in a custom binnacle, uch nicer than the currently posted photo, ew photos coming soon), laupunkt front 5 1/4 door speakers, lpine 6x9 rear panel speakers, lpine 1" dash tweeters (installed under the factory speaker grille), lternator, attery, elts, ront wheel bearings, ontinental 185/65 R14 tires ($450), lutch, ie rod ends, ngine dogbone. Dashboard professionally restored to better than new condition by Just Dashes ($1,400). Gorgeous new floor mats custom made in the Netherlands in the original material. Original carpet is in excellent but faded condition. The sun visors still need to be redone - they are present but saggy. New external rear view mirror - original NOS part. The interior rear view mirror is functional but could do with new mirror glass. Everything works including engine compartment light, nder dash light, runk light, lock, nstruments. I even repaired the turn signal lever - a common failure item, sing a newer column stalk from a 1981 Beta. Basically, 'm fastidious. The only item that is non-operational is the rear window defroster - the contacts broke off between the heating element in the window and the wiring at the C-pillars. |
