Description of 1993 Land Rover Range Rover Classic (RRC)

Solid 1993 Land Rover Range Rover Classic County Edition.The firstyear of the revised Classic in Long Wheelbase ( LWB) configuration which was made for only 3 years through early 1995.Itcomes factory-equipped with the desirable CDL ( Central Differential-Lock) system.

Completely stock, ndoriginalLWB, xcept that the suspension was already converted to heavy-duty coil springs & struts, s opposed to the nightmarish EAS ( which was always problematic, nd insanely expensive to fix).This is a two-owner LWB that has lived in the West coastfor most of its life. Therefore, here is absolutely NOstructural rustnor corrosion on this vehicle, s it wouldbe expected from a California vehicle ( hard-pressed condition to find in anyClassic beyond the rocky mountains). There is a little corrosion on the taillight inner weld seams, airly minor.

This LWB comes equipped with all the comforts, tandard features and amenities of its time, long with factory Tow package, strong>nearly-new radial tiresmounted on a nice, lean set of the optional 16"LWB alloy wheels. NEVER altered or lifted. It currently resides in Northern California.

Stock 4.2L engine runs very well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, he 4.2L was a vast improvement over the early 3.5 and 3.9L engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of a longer-stroked block and crank, ith revised heads. No overheating issuesto contend with. Head gaskets were serviced at 166K. 223K total miles, elatively average for a well-travelled Land Rover.

Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes,Power steering, ower windows andPower seats (theyboth work but a bit spotty at times, ommon on all Classic Rovers).

Finish is decent but aged. It is the desirable Roman Bronze color. I am surmising that it may have been resprayed at some point in its life. There isNO clearcoatflaking or damage to thefinish on the roof, ood or filler panel areas, ommon on many Rovers, pecially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll, nd nearly impossible to repair!

It has a bump on the left rear area, s it is clearly pictured ( it has been there for a very long time according to the older gentleman that owned it). This makes no change or affect its drivability in any way.

NOTE: I haveordered the missing bumper cap twice, nd twice they sent me the wrong one~! grrrr......

The original Sorrel Brownleather upholstery is in average condition and has held upwell.Surprisingly, here are no cracks or tears on the seats other than some dye loss from age. I have made arrangements for the leather to be re-dyed in its factory color with a local upholsterer. In addition, t also comes with a newly-installedheadliner, rofessionally done. It is firm and well attached in all areas ( a very common ailment on all Land Rovers).Clean interior, oor panels, actory carpetingandtrunk area. NON SMOKER vehicle.

Solid unrestored 93' Range Rover County Classic. It has had two owners, he second owner having taken it with him across the West, rom a brief workstint in AZ shortly after purchase, o ten years in a logging interest in WA state ( since 1998, here incidentally it got its rear "log bump") until moving back to the SF Bay area in 2008, here the Rangie lives now. He finally retired at a ranch in unincorporated Palo Alto, n Northern California.

Transfer case and differentials work fine in Low and High gearing.Recent work includes:
* New tires
* New alternator
* Recent water pump

* New rear brakes
* Cold start valve
* Heater core
* Oil change SHELL Rotella 15W40 w/ MAHLE filter
* New plugs
* New wires
* Clutch fan
* Rblt ABS module
* New rear BRITPART mud guards

It's a solid high-miler,yet it isa 4.2L and it runs well with a strong, olid powertrain. Clean chassis, o tweaks and NO rust and original interior. CLEAN CA title and currently registered. It will make a great traveler, ff-roader or camping Rangie with some minor cosmetic tlc. TONS of room that only the LWB offers.
I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, o no BS please. SERIOUS inquiries ONLY. I have priced it fairly and with ample room for someone's personal touch. A minty LWBwould be way over $20K.The modest opening bid of this 93' barely reflects a quarter of that !

ThisLWB Classic hasa clear California title and it is currently registered through 2015. FREE AUTOCHECK report available on request. It has a strong 4.2L engine, olid bodywork and soundoriginal interior.It will make agreat off-roader, raveler or camping Rangie with some cosmetic tlc.

I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues,and as such, strong>Ireserve the right to end this listing at any time, hould a serious offer present itself. Range Rover Classics are getting harder and harderto find, pecially in original, naltered condition and in LWB configuration.
