This is a 1971 Land Rover Series II that I am listing for a friend. I was going to help put it together but no time for it now. It has a 4 cylinder engine (that is free; can turn over) but does not run . It has a four speed gear box manual transmission with four wheel drive. The body is fairly straight and of course rust free (Aluminum). The frame is a different story. The frame is made of very thin metal and is a boxed frame style. There are areas that are rusted out making the frame the defining demise. We researched our options to repair this. One is to meticulously repair the existing frame, et a new frame and transfer components, r use a Chevy S-10 pick up running gear and mount the body to the Chevy frame. This is a neat piece and worth considering to restore and use on the Serengeti plains or your back forty or part it out. It has the hood mounted spur to hold the spare tire. We don't have the spare for it. It has the original wheels and very decent tires and two buckets of parts including the radiator, as tank, nd the hand crank to turn the motor over like a Model T. It has thre bucket seats in the front and two fold jump seats in the back. The tiger comes with the deal. On Sep-18-15 at 18:34:29 PDT, eller added the following information:I forgot to mention, t is missing the front floors. They were removed before we received the Rover. This vehicle needs a full restoration to be right.
