Description of 1967 Land Rover Defender

Now for something completely different.... This 1967 Land Rover 109 5 door wagon was converted about 12 years ago to run Chevrolet Blazer 4WD suspension and drivetrain. The builder of this truck has a show which has put out numerous Bonneville Land Speed Record holding cars. He wanted a truck to take on his Big Game hunts in Africa that he took every year. So he purchased a 3 year old low mileage Blazer and this very nice original low mileage Rover 109. They selected the Blazer in part because the wheelbase was the same and for its robust and easy to service mechanicals. The donor blazer had under 30,000 miles. The Land Rover was an original 6 cyl NAS low mileage truck in Left hand drive. It had lots of great options including Safari vented roof and Elephant hide upholstery. After the work was done to join the two vehicles together professionally, umerous upgrades were added including a Ramsey 9000 pound winch with remote, pgraded heavy duty front and rear bumper as well as a Safari Roof rack, igh lift jack, torage boxes and Driving lights. This was a very expensive custom build. The result is a truck that still has great 4wd and off road capability that you can literally drive down the highway at 80 MPH easily. That and it can be serviced anywhere in the USA very easily. This truck will be sold. It is available locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Please email with serious offers. This is a rare, nd possibly once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a truck like this at a fraction of the cost to build it.
