Description of 1969 Land Rover Other

I imported this car from Costa Rica last year and love it. but my family does not. so it has go. The motor has been inspected and repaired by one the best diesel mechanics in the Southeast. He said it has the best frame he has ever seen on a Landy of this age. Some of the work he has done: New push rods. new radiator. new shocks. new engine paint. etc. It starts right up and purrs like a loud kitten. I had a new custom interior and top installed while still in Costa Rica. They used a very durable synthetic leatherette to recover all the seats (replaced the foam padding as well). The top is also a synthetic. so it will out-perform the old canvas type for years to come. The floor mats are more of the same with the Land Rover Logo stamped into them. As for the areas that need to be addressed: The body needs work. dent repair and paint. It was used in the mountains in CR. and has the exterior to prove it. Also. most of the gauges need to be fixed. The speedo works sometimes. wipers not at all. You can drive it safely right now. but it needs a little TLC to be a regular ride.
