Description of 1987 Land Rover Defender D90 Turbo-Diesel |
Vehicle Overview **IF YOU PLANT TO INSPECT, PLEASE DO SO BEFORE AUCTION ENDS, NOT AFTER** 1987 LANDROVER DEFENDER D90 TD This is a beautiful reconditioning of a Turbo Diesel 19J Defender. It's done in a classic Arles Blue (Colour Code LRC 424) Freshly done and imported into the US. The truck comes with a clean PA title so you have no trouble registering, it was issued two weeks ago.It has undergone a full customs examination and is fully cleared. Due to the age and engine type (diesel), you're won't even have problems in California since it's exempt. VIN is SALLDVAB8AA308689 Reconditioned approximately two months ago. This is not a quick re-spray with bondo filler like a lot of the Defenders out there are. There are no holes and we don't restore units with holes or major rust. All seating is new material re-upholstered. Filters replaced, glow plugs replaced, all maintanence work done. The drive feels great and as it should - tight with no vibrations. Transmission, differential lock, blinkers, headlamps, brakes, everything works just as it should. Once again, EVERYTHING works on this car - Air, Heat, Hand Throttle, turn blinkers, headlamps, highbeams... ect. Nothing needs to be replaced. This is not a rotting UK Defender, this is a Defender originating from Central Italy. You don't have the harsh salty conditions that make the UK Defenders a rust fest. Great for fishing, the beach, the mountains, showing of, or feeling like you're driving an amazing vehicle that's part of history. The Defenders are incredible vehicles. They are fun Sunday drivers and are great everyday highway drivers. Reliability and serviceability. No extra foo foos that break down. |
