Description of 1964 Land Rover Defender |
What we have here is an antique Land Rover 88a. These things are very rare these days and for one to be in this condition and RUNNING is hard to come by. Most are pretty much found beat to death or already stripped and still pull $4000-$5000!!!Great shape for being 52 years old.. I just dont have the time for it anymore. Need something more of a daily driver. Runs, starts and drives. It just needs a few things taken care of to be 100% road worthy. those things are- bleeding the brakes as they are spongy and intermittent. could be master cylinder. I havent found a leak anywhere though.- ignition/Headlight switch.....no key and it drains the battery. Ive been dissconnecting the battery at the moment- rear crossmember/bumper needs to be replaced ($200) @ rovernorth.com- killswitch rewired, been stalling it out to shut it off Great bones to this classic. Frame is not all rusted out like others from these year vehiclesCurrently registered antique in PennsylvaniaI currently have this cross posted on craigslist and other classifieds in my area. So i reserve the right to end auction a any timeBuyer is 100% responsible for shipping, delivery, or pick up $1000 deposit is due within 24 hours of winning bidder/buyer committing to vehicle.
