Description of 1994 Land Rover Range Rover County |
I purchased this 1994 RRC in June 2015 however, 18 months later I have put less than 6,000 miles on it and realise that keeping it in the garage is not enjoyment so, I have decided to list it locally and on here although I am having second thoughts as I upload the photos! It has 159,254 miles today, but I do take it out for short runs here and there so the mileage will go up. I do not know too much about its past other than it was registered in June 1994 in Fresno CA and has been a CA car its whole life which translates into a solid 100% RRC with no rot. I I have seen service receipts for Ed Wright's British car Repair in San Rafael CA. It’s a great vehicle with strong AC and heater, drives very well and is 100% original and complete. If you are looking to make an off-roader, another vehicle would be a better start as this is very original. I believe that it was re-sprayed a number of years ago other than that I have no history. In my ownership I have undertaken the following: New Pertronix distributor, cap and rotor arm New battery New spark plugs and wires New tyres – General Grabbers with less than 1,000 miles New shock absorbers – This RRC is on coils New crankshaft oil seal New steering pump Re-built steering box New Fuel pump and sender unit Changed from oil to grease in front hubs Replaced all fluids, transmission and TC with Redline DT4 synthetic & front & rear diff with synthetic Hypoid Replaced VC in the TC with a new unit Oversized K&N Gold Oil filter for extra capacity and cooling and run on Rotella Triple T New Accessory Drive belts New MAF Sensor NEW TPS Sensor New Fuel filter Installed Battery isolator switch New Rear diff oil seal LED Headlight conversion – Original 7” units will be included in the car for those that really want to convert it back LED upgrades to bulbs and lights such as markers, door lights and interior lights LED Driving lights - Spots mounted to Brush Guard New Fog Lights - Mounted in front air dam however, they have a removable cover for protection The car has front and rear diff guards however, it has never been off road, and they add nice bling! I have also fitted a 2M HAM radio and if the winning bidder can show a valid HAM radio license I will leave the radio in, if not, it will be removed, as I do not condone unlicensed HAM radio usage. The headliner has been replaced with a new one, the leather is in great condition and the power seats work, as does the sunroof, which tilts and slides. Negatives: Seat heaters to not work – Not a big deal in CA Cruise control is random in operation Finish on dash is cracking - Some replacement has been made on center consul The battery will loose charge in a fortnight; I have fitted battery tender wires to the battery and use a trickle charger to keep it fresh A few small oil drips – Its an old RRC, you can chase them all down but they do come back A few cosmetic paint flaws on the roof, driver’s door and bonnet by the windscreen sprayers Drivers door handle is a little bent I have one key, a working remote and all the original books to the car. All the original tools are in the boot and the spare tyre is 100% original having never been installed. Thanks for looking, shoot me any questions you may have. |
