1992 Land Rover Defender 90 200 Tdi Here at STA, we are excited to bring you a well kept 1992 Defender 90 200Tdi. This truck was imported to South America in the mid 1990’s, allowing it to avoid the typical European weather that likes to eat away at these vehicles. It has enjoyed the mild climate of the Sao Paulo Brazil, being garage kept for the majority of it's life. There is little surface rust on the chassis and none to speak of in the body or doors, which is usually the first things to go on these trucks. The four cylinder turbo diesel engine is extremely smooth, and is just as at home on the pavement as it is the trail. The five speed manual transmission shifts great with no grinding or slipping. I have put nearly 800 miles on this Defender since importing it, dailying it in rush hour traffic, and stretching it’s legs on the interstate. This truck will run 65-70 effortlessly.The interior is basic and unmolested, showing no signs of the hodgepodge back shed mods which some imported vehicles are known for. You can tell that the previous owner loved this truck by the condition it's in. There are a few modification to help set this Defender apart, to include arear mechanical differential lock (just in case you actually wanted to wheel it). It's supported by Old Man Emu Medium Duty Springs at all four corners giving this Defender a great ride, and the clearance for the brand new BFG All-Terrains, wrapped around Land Rover OEM Alloys. There is a full size matching spare mounted to the rear tire rack. The linexed winch bumper holds a 9000lbs Engo winch for the added sense of security when wheeling. I have really enjoyed this rig in the short time that we have had it.
