Description of 1992 Land Rover Defender COUNTY TRIM |
25 Years Old Ideal For USA Export 1992 Defender 110 County Station Wagon 2.5 200TDI With Factory Air Conditioning. The car was 1st registered in the UK on 19/03/1992 and has has been in Cyprus since 04/07/2000. Because of the dry conditions here in Cyprus the chassis and bulkhead and rear crossmember are all solid which is why i bought the vehicle and spent a substantial amount of money making it what it is today. I purchased 27/11/2014 and I spent €10000 finishing it in July 2015. We have 4 children it has been our family vehicle since and has been very practical for us. The only reason for selling is that I have bought a 2013 version of the same vehicle. The work carried out included 5 new door skins and replacing door bottoms etc with new ones. Nothing was filled. Anything that had the slightest rust or bubbling paint was cut out and replaced. After prepping for maybe 1 month the vehicle was sprayed in Land Rover Paint Corris Grey (Paint Code LRC 873) After the paint job all rubbers and seals were replaced with brand new ones. The door handles, door locks, Hinges and door fittings internal and external were all changed for new ones. Stainless steel bots and screws fitted all around. Next came the interior. The seats were stripped and the frames sprayed black. The foams were replaced and the seats were then covered by a professional automotive upholsterer. The doors and dashboard were all trimmed in a lack textured leatherette that looks so much better than the original dull grey. The roof lining and the window trim surrounds were all done in black to make the vehicle look a lot more in keeping with the black/grey scheme i was trying to achieve rather than leaving the window trims a kind of light grey and the roof lining white. It was also fully carpeted throughout. I had the complete lights changed all round to clear LED lights (NAS SPEC) and the headlights are Xenons and extremely bright. The bumper was also changed and has the LED daytime running lights. I installed a swing away spare wheel carrier which is chassis mounted so it saves the weight of the spare wheel pulling on the rear door. It has had a new steering protector fitted and alsodiff protectors. It has a sports steering wheel fitted which is easier to manoeuvre than the original steering wheel. I also installed the side steps which are the black ‘fire and ice” ones which are installed on the special edition defenders. It has a NAS Rear Step Tow Bar fitted. It has privacy glass from the 2nd row seats and beyond, It has aftermarket central locking, except for the back door which you do manually. I have installed a 2 inch lift on the vehicle and has black 16 inch sawtooth alloys with 285/75/16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrains. This really sets the vehicle off and adds the finishing touch. I spent quite a lot of money on the Pioneer Stereo Bluetooth System. It has four 9” inch speakers and a 12 inch subwoofer professionally installed into a specially made (carpeted) bass box which is pictured and sits in the back. It doesn't look out of place its actually a really cool feature. Also it has colour changing LED strip lights hidden above the window trim and running from the 2nd row door all the way round backwards to the opposite 2nd row door which is quite cool at night, The kids love it anyway. It currently seats 10 people but if you removed the Bass box it would be a 12 seater. The engine is the original 200 TDI it was registered with and there are absolutely no issues with it. It doesn't lose or burn oil and it has been regularly serviced throughout its lifetime. I had front and rear brakes changed, fluids and filters and all the belts changed within the last 500 miles. The clutch was also changed at the same time. The gearbox is fine I had a Defender Slickshift fitted which improves the gear changes and keeps the older gearboxes tighter. http://www.onlinegearboxparts.com/product/defender-lt77-slickshift/ There is probably so much more to tell you and I will add to this advert when anything else springs to mind. Any questions or requests for more detailed pictures please don't hesitate to ask. If the vehicle is to be transported the buyer must cover all the costs. I can ship from Cyprus to UK no problem. It takes roughly 3 weeks by boat and costs €1000 give or take €100. If you intend to ship to USA I will be happy to get a quote from a friend who is a shipping agent here in Cyprus.
