Description of 1994 Land Rover Defender |
I purchased this Land Rover Defender in 2006 from Park City 4x4. Since purchasing I have put about 60k into this vehicle bringing my total investment to about $88,000 dollars. Here is a list of all I've done since buying the vehicle.New 4.6 liter short block which now has 38k miles on it. (Car drives like a champ, easily outperforming the 3.9 liter) takes hills with no issues. New Transmission in 2015New Exhaust systemNew cooling system to include radiatorNew air-conditioning unit, all parts.New brakesNew starter and ignition switchTune up, cap and rotor etc.New lift, shocks and springsNew All Terrain Mud and Snow tiresNew grill guard with winchNew snorkel, diamond plate and roof rackReupholstered interior and Rhino-lining (looks good, cuts down on noise, easy to clean)New $3500 stereo systemHella lightsNew windshield (has one small chip in it since purchase in 2008)Bought rig with new top in 2006 from Badger Coachworks (Vehicle kept in garage entire time)New fuel pump and fuel pump wiringNew back window (2015) from Badger CoachworksCar converted from stick to automatic in 2005, runs smooth There is a lot more that was done also and I have scoured up all the receipts. In essence the main things that remain from the original vehicle are the body panels, frame, axels and rims. So much of this vehicle has been redone. More pics coming of the interior as soon as she comes out of the detail shop. This rig did have an accident on the car-fax from 2005. The entire rear of the vehicle was replaced. It was cosmetic damage and instead of trying to fix it they just replaced it. I don't have the records of this repair but I have had it checked out by a couple of body shops who all said the same thing. The body is straight, the frame is straight and the back end is new (well 11 years new). I truly believe that this is one of the nicest and strongest running Defender 90's out there. It does have some miles on it but with so many parts being completely redone the car, to me, is in almost like new condition. I do get asked if this is a new vehicle that is made to look old (like the now discontinued Toyota FJ40s or the upcoming Bronco). I cannot drive this car without getting waves, thumbs up and even got pulled over by a cop once who simply wanted a closer look. She's a good rig. And 99% of her issues are fixed. |
