Description of 1987 Land Rover Defender

Jack Fielder Land Rovers are pleased to offer this lovely 110 for sale
We are a Land Rover specialist based in Devon in the south west of England. We restore, repair and modify all Land Rovers but mainly Defenders. We do not usually sell vehicles but when we came across this 110 we felt that it was the perfect candidate for US export.
She is a 1987 110 fitted with a 2.5 naturally aspirated diesel and 5 speed manual lt77 gearbox. VIN no: SALLDHAC7BA295624
This vehicle was only released from the mod (ministry of defence) December 2015 so she is very well kept and original. Fitted with heavy duty wolf wheels. Canvas top is nearly new and great condition. Fitted with adjustable height tow hitch. The chassis numbers all match, the engine number differs from the log book as an mod reconditioned unit was fitted last year. It is of the same type as was fitted originally.
The chassis is excellent for the age with no rust, it has never been welded and does require any. The bulkhead is very solid, it has had two small repairs to the footwells. The doors are very good and shut well, they have very desirable aluminium wolf door tops.
This vehicle is in good overall condition for the age and drives well. It does not have power steering and the 2.5 na engine isn't going to win any races! The engine does knock slightly when it's hot. We were going to complete an engine conversion to a 200 tdi or v8 but though it best to leave standard for ease of export. For an extra cost we could supply a power steering box and put in the back.
