87' Land Rover Defender with an upgraded 2.5L diesel 200TDI. The truck has been restored about two years ago (Dec. 2015-June 2016). Upgraded engine was installed a year ago. In the restoration process the following things were done:- chassis, axels, undercarriage, bulkhead, engine bay were sand-blasted, repaired and painted.- axels and transfer case rebuilt and upgraded with Detroit locker rear and limited-slip front, Timken bearings etc.- new LT77 gear box from Ashcroft- new reupholstered interior including carpet, seat covers, head liner, door panels with soundproofing- new upgraded suspension from Terrafirma with bushes, heavy duty tie rod and steering rod- new brakes, rotors, upgraded lines- new timing belt, rear crank seal, clutch kit, head and manifold gaskets, electric dual cooling fans- snorkel and wading breather kit- winch bumper, Superwinch 9500#, Auxbeam led lights (front and rear), aluminum skid plate- 285/75/R16 Toyo Open Country with about 3000 miles on- full aluminum roof rack with FrontRunner hi-jack mount, jerrycan holders, Trasharoo spare tire trash bag-Tepui rooftop tent, Sunseeker awning- stainless steel hardware upgrades- dual battery systemand many other things I forget to mention. I can send some pictures from restoration if needed. Cons (see pics):- plastic trim on dash has a crack- one rear jump seat is got a small tear- small dent in the rear from hauling a trailer- pinstripes on paint from brushes and branches- no AC This truck drives nice on road and off, as an everyday driver or weekend adventure vehicle. Great on fuel.A lot of care, detail and money was put into it. Hate to sell but I need a pick-up or van at this time.
