Description of 1985 Land Rover Defender 130 Crew Cab Pick Up Truck |
This is a very rare opportunity to purchase a 1985 Land Rover 130. Power is from aTD52.5L turbodiesel inline-five paired with a 5-speed manualtransmission. This is the absolute best performing and most bulletproof engine Land Rover ever made. Recent service items include a fresh set of BFGoodrich All-Terrains along with a new handbrake cable and front shock bushings. This long-wheelbase Defender is sold witha clean California title. eBay won't let me list the VIN, so here it is: SALLDVAH7AA218569. Metallic green paintwork is generally shiny and retain good overall integrity with a variety of scratches, swirls, faded areas, andother signs of use throughout (typical for any Land Rover Defender). Sheet metal is absolsutely solid. Black-painted 16″ steel wheels are mounted with newerBFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 light truck tires. The bed has been painted with bedliner to protect from any damage. Aluminum diamond-plate has been added to the front fender tops. The 130 checkerplate fabric interioris in nice condition overall with wear and tear commensurate with use. Floor coverings are removed to show thesolid sheet metal beneath. A period cassette deck remains mounted in the dash. Stock specs for the engine are approximately120horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manualtransmission and 2-speed transfer case. Underbody photos show the general condition of the frame, drivetrain, floors, and suspension, with the latter lifted slightly over Bilstein shocks. The most recent service includedfresh front shock bushings and a new handbrake cable. The truck runs and drives very well. The truck is titled and registered in Californiaas a Defender 90. NoCalifornia emissions testing is required due to the diesel powerplant. This is one of the very, very few Land Rover 130s registered in California. I'm not sure where you would actually be able to find another one, and certainly not this nice with a TD5 engine. Asking price is $42k. Trades may be considered, Mercedes G Wagon, another Defender, Range Rover, etc. Perhaps even a classic Porsche 911, Carrera or Turbo. Please call or text 562-3I0-6932. PS - British Car Services will convert the truck to left hand drive for around $6k. AC can be added for a couple of grand more. |
