Description of 1983 Land Rover Defender |
Up for sale is a 1983 Land Rover Defender 110 that competed in the 1984 Camel Trophy Race that was held in Brazil. The truck was driven by the Italian team that went on to win the race that year. While genuine Camel trucks occasionally come up for sale, having a winning is rare. Includes all the paperwork to prove its authenticity. Original Italian title has since been translated into a South Carolina title with the original having a 'souvenir' designation. (VIN SALLDHMG8AA/200512) This left-hand drive truck has no rust or corrosion and has been refreshed to showroom condition, roughly 40K miles on the original 2.25 Liter Diesel engine and drivetrain. While the truck could still trek across the Trans-Amazonian highway today, this truck would probably best be served as a collection centerpiece and a testament to Land Rover's timeless dedication to automotive excellence.
