THIS IS A RHD IMPORT FORM THE UK I HAVE ALL THE US CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION AGENCIES STAMPED PAPERWORK AND UK TITLE IN HAND. THIS IS A LEGAL IMPORT AND I HAVE ALL PROPER DOCUMENTATION PROVING THIS. CA DMV WOULD NOT REGISTER IT DUE TO STRICT EMISSIONS POLICIES HOWEVER THERE ARE STILL SOME FREE STATES IN THE U. S. A WHERE THIS VEHICLE WILL NOT BE AN ISSSUE TO REGISTER. Here I have a great example of a rugged British 4x4. I have spent well over my reserve price getting this vehicle into the U. S. and doing some Mild Restoration and Modification. I unfortunately have run short of funds and must now sell this beloved vehicle before its completion. Please know firsthand that all the mechanical. electrical and some paint and body modifications have been done and all that this vehicle needs will be stated in the description below and with the pictures provided as well. this rugged little off roader can climb anything take a beating and keep on going. I drove it on road mainly while I was working on it she does 45-55 comfortably but any more and its a bit of a wind out. ENGINE: Daihatsu 2. 8 Liter Turbo Diesel. engine code DL-50. this motor pulls like a train. gets very good MPG and is a preferred swap in the UK. nbsp; 115 HP diesel out of a Euro spec Mitubishi or Daihatsu Rocky parts are readily available online and with a little research most can be found at a local source. runs like a top and comes equipped with new glow plugs. new custom built by myself side swept flow-master exhaust with massive 4" exhaust tip. beautiful motor I was told by the previous owner that all seals and top end gaskets were replaced when the swap was preformed in the UK and the donor vehicle had less than 50K miles when it was parted out and it shows this motor has no noticeable blow by. leaks or overheating issues. It is coupled with a large aftermarket manually operated electric fan the engine compartment is tidy with heat mat under hoodDRIVE-TRAIN : Four speed sycro meshed manual transmission LT95 just refreshed the fluids . shifts through all gears smoothly without grinding or slippage clutch grabs true and strong. this motor has some torque so in most cases one can release the clutch with little to no throttle to get going. transfer case and 4x4 work properly and as they should with no mechanical faultsAXLES/STEERING/ BRAKES: the rear axle is a Salisbury 1 TON HD axle 4:70 gearing great for off-road (comparable to Dana 60) fitted with drum brakes nice working unit. front is the standard rover axle with manual locking hubs 2x4 high . 4x4 lowboth front and rear axles are quiet and have no known issues. the steering is tight but at higher speeds will wander a little (not any more than to be expected from an old Landy) just topped steering box fluids. the brakes work fine and stop strong with a nice stiff pedalBODY: Basically a 20 foot body looks great from a few feet out but upon closer inspection there are some discrepancies The front door sills or bottoms have some rot (pictured). The driver side sill has been removed by myself both driver and passenger doors open and close as they should. I was going to repair them but have since run short on funds and must sell this project to focus on others. I was quoted around $350-400 delivered from Paddock spares in the UK for two brand new black primed door bottoms The front cowling has a couple small rust spots that would be relatively easy to patch or replace the cowling. You could also leave them because they are not very bad for now. very nice diamond plating primed and painted black on the fender tops and along the bottom of the vehicle and at the back . headlight and tail light covers also primed painted black and clear coated. front grille the same with custom white hand painted land rover emblem. nbsp; The tub is solid with no rust rear tailgate has a couple dings the outer tub panels are straight. canvas top is faded but water tight it has a couple broken straps the rear window plastic has a hole in it. quoted 100-200 to fix the straps and plastic windows at a local seamstress ELECTRICAL: I've re wired the existing manual cooling fan and off road lights to a modern fuse block very tidy the existing wiring has been re wrapped. All lights interior headlights taillights turn signals and off road lights are working. I added a LED light strip under the dash due to the vehicle not having interior lighting. nbsp; I also added a flat four prong trailer plug I was going to tow a small yard maintenance trailer with. the alternator works best under load but the alternator light flickers when there is no load on it have not had any issues with it. battery is a strong new 1000 CCA 800 CA Interstate INTERIOR: Front seats have small rips in bottoms has a center console and dash is complete and solid. working heater. rear seating for up to six. comes with center seat for front. floorboards are patched with diamond plating. rear bench seats are tidy rear floor is rough meaning there looks to have been a couple spills of tins of paint or glue. but it is solid in terms of structural integrity. all in all this truck has solid bones and could use just a couple small fixes to be perfect. TIRE AND WHEEL OPTIONS: E rated 285/65/16 mud terrain fire stones with a full sized spare 80% tread well over $1000 New. the wheels these are mounted on are Hammann 16'' five spoke wheels this wheel and tire package only goes with truck if the price reaches over 9000$ US. If bellow 9K then I will fit a nice set of nice black painted Steel wheels with G rated 7. 00 R 16 Michelin XYZ's they have a little cracking but have great tread and are re-groovable. OR at owners expense I get wholesale prices on tires from tire rack and can order and fit the tires of their liking on the steel wheels.
