Description of 1980 Land Rover Defender Station Wagon |
1984 Land Rover Defender 110 2. 5 N/A Diesel. This is a great opportunity to get an entry level Defender 110 Diesel that is already stateside and legal. These trucks get harder and harder to bring in each year. This wonderful example will be a great starting point to build your perfect camping / adventuremobile. or you can drive it as-is reliably as a Daily driver or on trips. Everyone has their own ideas of what they need in a rig and that's why this one is up to you to personalize and build as you see fit. 100% legally imported and titled in the State of Virginia. Title in hand. Truck gets a lot of attention and people always have a talk when i get out of it. For a 25yr old vehicle it is good shape. Frame is rot free and not covered in rust. This is in large part due to the prior owners taking good care of the car. annually putting it in waxoyl. More importantly. the bulkhead is in excellent condition. which is something that is extremely rare for this age vehicle. As with any land rover slight rust areas at the door bottoms is inevitable. however myself and the previous owners have taken all the preventative measures to preserve the original doors and this is apparent as the doors have remained original and in excellent shape. Due to the design the water tends to pool on these surfaces and cause corrosion. However. this particular truck has a very minimal amount of oxidation. The paint was redone two years back. and remains a very beautiful shiny black which accentuates the vehicle greatly. Nonetheless. paint and flawless exteriors are not what it's about with this kind of vehicle as you would buy it for its legendary status and capabilities. I have driven it all over the place and would gladly ship it for you by driving it to you!!! (some compensation is to be expected for time. fuel. etc. etc. ) In short. a very good truck perfect for a build-up or driving it just as it is! This vehicle is 25yrs old and as such has the normal expected wear for it's age. Do not come expecting a showroom 110. If that is what you are looking for you are going to pay 40k+. That being said. it is a great truck that is the perfect starting point for your own adventure lifestyle. Go explore and travel well. The Good: 1)Aesthetically an extremely good looking 1984 Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon. the pictures do not do her justice. 2) Car drives well. shifts well. and there are no unusual worrisome noises. 3) NO rust on the body. Chassis is in extremely good condition. 4) Bulkhead is devoid of rust and is in extremely good condition. 5) Undercarriage has always been waxoyled. 6) Comes installed with a power outlet mounted to the front bumper and an uprated rear towing hook. 7) Car has been serviced for the road ahead in mind --> OIL CHANGE. DIFF FLUID CHANGE. (more fluids can be changed per request!) 8) Brand new seat belts The Bad: 1) Rear mudflap has come undone --> Will be re-installed. 2 Waxoyl is starting to show its age. reapplication is highly recommended.
