1971 Land Rover Series II Wagon Orange AWD Manual 2A Series 88

For sale a 1971 Series 88 2A Land Rover. Imported from the UK at start of 2023, LHD.

Recently stripped down and resprayed with a full ‘engine and glass’ out, painted in the ‘tango’ orange. Paint job is a 9.5/10 and visually the car is great. Really pops in the sun and is a genuine head turner. Haven’t seen one in this color combo before as most were the older grays, light blues, greens or whites. Lots of photos of the stripped down shell before paint job.

All new interior with new front and rear seats, with the original style dials and instruments. Newer steering wheel and new ignition.

Good tires left, brakes work and the car starts and stops. It does need a tune up; the engine is a 2.25 4 cylinder with an older Weber carb and the clock shows 93k~ but TMU unknown. The manual choke cable works but definitely needs a carb clean and an oil change and new air filter, and it will run smoother. The gear shifting is tricky; it’s a wide up right into 3rd and a wide down left into 2nd, takes some getting used too.

Ready to be registered with all customs paperwork and fees paid for, all documents ready to go.

These don’t drive like a new car so please don’t expect that. It is 52 years old but the interior and updates makes it look a lot newer.

Entertaining offers for a quicker sale, one just sold on BaT similar mileage and look for $41k, and a bunch on here for range of $25-60k in a mix of quality.
