Description of 1957 Lincoln Other

This 1957 Lincoln Premier would be an excellent candidate for restoration or to rod. There is no evidence of a collision. the frame and body are as straight as an arrow. the doors open and close like vault doors with all mechanisms working as they should. There are no rust issues with either of the doors. hinges. nbsp;or door pilliars. All four power windows operate. slowly but they go up and down fully. The electrical system is intact and operates as it should. there have been no modifications or damage to the wiring harness. it is all as it came from the factory. The windshield. back glass. and rear side windows are free of cracks and damage. The seats are in poor condition as far as the padding and covers go but the frames and springs are in good condition. When the engine is running the accessories operate for the most part. some are slow; heater motor. windows. turn signals. locks. nbsp;etc. Power steering works great and the brake pedal pops up when the engine is running. The engine compartment is very clean and unmolested. Trunk is impressive. it is very solid. clean. nbsp;and in great shape. The lid and mechanism work flawlessly. Both rocker panels are rust free and solid. The small area of rust in the passenger rear floor looks to have been caused by a hole in the exhaust that just burned off all of the paint and other coating leaving that area unprotected. The rear lower quarters and front fenders above the bumper have rust that is just contained to those areas. there was quite a bit of dirt. leaves and other buildup from the years that just trapped the moisture.
