Description of 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car

Up for auction at NO RESERVE is a beautiful 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car with 71. 00 original miles. The color combination of apricot paint. white vinyl top and burgundy leather interior is striking. This car has been always garage kept and is in excellent original condition. Everything is ORIGINAL including the beautiful paint. like new vinyl top. and very. very nice leather interior. The door handles and exterior mirrors have some minor pitting. but the rest of the chrome is very nice. I have attached a photo of a door handle. Overall the paint is beautiful. It is clean. glossy. and the body is straight. The car even has all of the original painted pinstripes. There is no rust. and there never was any rust. even under the vinyl top or where the vinyl top meets the body. With all that being said. there are a few imperfections that should be pointed out. I have attached photos of four areas of the paint that have some flaws: 1. the trunk has a small scratch where something fell on it. 2. the trunk has a 3" diameter circle where a caustic material caused some minor damage to the paint. 3. there is a scratch on the painted plastic piece that goes between the rear bumper and the body. 4. there are about a dozen tiny spots on the top of the driver's side front fender and hood where the paint appears to have been slightly discolored by something. If you look at all the photos including the ones showing the flaws. I think you will agree this Lincoln is very nice. This Town Car has the 460 V8 engine with the four barrel carburetor. The vehicle runs and drives good. When you start the car cold it goes into fast idle as it should and the idle will slow down after the car gets warmed up. The fuel pump and the gas tank have recently been replaced. but for some reason the fuel guage doesn't work. It always reads empty. Also the a/c doesn't work but the heater does. The power seats. windows. and locks work. The radio and power antenna work also. This is a NO RESERVE auction. The highest bidder gets it.
