Description of 1970 Lincoln Mark Series |
Up for sale is my 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III. I purchased the car from the original owners. a 90 year old couple who purchased the car new from their local dealer in Washington state. The car was always garage kept and not driven much in their later years. The car still wears it's original yellow paint. brown top and beautiful brown leather interior. The car is a true survivor. The exterior has a couple of dents from encounters with the garage door. There are the usual nicks and scratches expected with a 45 year old car with it's original paint. It still shows very well and can certainly be enjoyed and driven as is. All the chrome and trim is in very nice condition. a little pitting on some pieces. Overall the exterior is a 6-7 with no rust issues. The interior is awesome. There are no tears. rips. splits or wear marks on the leather seats. the head liner is like new. as is the rear seat and dash. The carpet has wear but no holes or tears. The interior is a strong 8-9. The engine has been tuned up. new dual exhaust installed and new battery. Car runs and drives good once she warms up. typical of old cars. Electrically the car is good. All lights. signals. horn. radio and 8 track. power antenna and trunk lock work. The only issue is the windows work intermittently. I believe it to be a bad ground or the window lock out switch. I searched for months to find a reasonably priced car with a nice interior to restore. I have a couple of other projects and realize I just don't have time for another one. A fresh paint job is all it needs to be an outstanding classic car. I have a low reserve so bid to own this wonderful example of an early Lincoln. |
