Description of 1977 Lincoln Continental LUXURY/LEATHER |
1977 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL RARE - TRIPLE BLACK!! LOW MILES!! Luxury cars from the 70's are starting to become more and more collectible. For the people that were born in the 70's essentially grew up in these types of vehicles. We were raised in the back seats going out to dinner with the family or driving to a family vacation. In these cars you just didn't show up somewhere.....you arrived. And as we grew up, these cars were handed down to us. They headed on dates, to high school proms and to night clubs. In the 70's and early 80's bigger always meant better. This 1977 Lincoln Continental was one of the largest production cars of its time. It had an interior large enough to fit almost 8 adults and with a trunk that could fit the same. But the most impressive attribute of this 77 Continental was its pure size. It was titantic! Growing up from that era to today, we tend to collect vehicles that remind us of our youth. These classic luxury liners from the 70's do just that and before you know they just might be as highly sought after as the 60's muscle cars.......who knows. Please read through this adto find out the condition of this vehicle. Also, check out our other eBay auto auctions for cool 70's classics!! Exterior: The exterior of this vehicle presents itself in outstanding condition. The paint shows high luster and shines well. The car was repainted some time ago but shows great. There are spots that were touched up through the years also, but overall, excellent driver quality. There is no rot on the vehicle at all. The vinyl top is also in excellent condition. No rips or tears. All the glass in clear and chip free. All the lights and marker lights work properly and the bright-work is outstanding for being original. Tires all have good tread and the hubcaps are also in excellent condition. Again, this is driver quality that is in magnificent condition for its age. please review the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have. Interior: The interior is in absolute excellent original condition. Here is what I know are the minor flaws. The dash has 1 hairline crack on the passenger side, the driver's seat has a tiny separation at the seam about an inch long and the passenger window does not operate. The carpet can use a dye job but other then that all is in excellent condition. And its original. The headliner, door panels, and carpet all have NO rips or tears. The A/C even works along with its thermometer style speedometer. It will need an antenna switch for the interior. The antenna is in the up position. You will be pleasantly surprised with the condition of this car's interior! Keep in mind its just about 40 years old. Please review all the pictures and let me know of any questions you may have. Drive-Train: This war horse is powered by the legendary 460 Big Block!! It runs and drive very smooth and surprisingly powerful. The engine is quiet and starts and runs excellent. The transmission shifts through all gears perfectly. Also, the engine can still roast up the rear tires if you let it, even with the mass of the vehicle on top of the tires. All suspension, tires, brakes, belts and hoses are road worthy and good for driving. There has been a new starter, battery and solenoidinstalled. Please let us know of any questions you may have. In Summation: This car is in excellent condition of its age. In 40 years, its only accumulated 87k miles. (that's about 2200 miles a year) Just enough to keep all things in motion. Do not expect a perfect car because its not. Its 40 years old. Do expect a vehicle that is beautiful in every way. From the men and women who built to the people that drove it right down to the memories created. If you were lucky enough to own a car like this in the 70's, then you must have really been accomplished in your life. Show or go, this car is ready for its next owner.
